Heh, people were thinking this would bomb. Personally i predicted 600 million world wide. Seems it's going to exceed that easily.

It just needs to get to $890,871,626 to beat Spider-Man 3, which made the most of the Raimi movies.

Call me crazy, but I liked this one. It was by no means perfect, but I liked this take on Spidey.

As long as it makes enough to warrant a sequel, I'll be satisfied.

What was the budget of Superman Returns, again?
And the budget for Amazing Spider-man?

Superman Returns' budget was like, 350 million. But a load of that was because of previous scrapped productions.

I think that was just wishful thinking from people that wanted the movie to go back to Marvel.

I liked it too. It wasn't Avengers/Batman Begins tier, but it was better than the Raimi movies in my opinion. Also, Garfield is by far a better Spidey than Tobey.

Still, in the back of my mind I couldn't escape the thought that his movie could have been a little better if Marvel was more directly involved or was set in the Marvel movie universe. I know its not fair, but I couldnt help it.
Eh, Comics is a pretty cool guy...

The total was $263 million by the time it was all said and done . The budget without the other production costs would have been $209 million in total. It was said that Warner Bros told Singer that they wanted at least $500 million worldwide and was disappointed which made Singer joke that he had made a movie that did $400 million and it was considered not enough.

Allow me to disagree it was mavel's noninvolment wich allows Spidey to be taken in a new direction.
    But that's just me.
Glad it's doing good. Marc Webb ceated a very interesting and compelling spin of the mythos.
