The top 10 is dominated by a bunch of mini series that will just go away in due time. Meanwhile, all books from all companies are bumped down 6 or 7 places in the top 300. Ranking is a useless measure anyway. A book can gain 20.000 readers and still drop 10 places if the Big Two put enough event books out in that month.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

I love Jim's pencils, for sure, but don't care for his writing. When he has co-plotted with a good writer there has been quality, but not enough that I feel confident about it.

For WW specifically, his art hasn't been great in other books; her face seems to lack character and she doesn't look like a warrior - She's an Amazon, dammit!

It is I suppose, but art is ofc subjective, personally I think the best artist DC have working for them currently is Nicola Scott, who makes everything looks gorgeous and unlike Lee actually finishes them all.

It's not just the two issues per month of the actual Avengers vs. X-Men title, though. There's also AVX VS, and pretty much the whole Avengers and X-Men lines have gotten a sales boost from the event. A few months ago, Wonder WOman was outselling all the X-Men and Avengers titles, but this month it was outsold by Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Avengers 27, Uncanny X-Men 14, New Avengers 27, Wolverine And X-Men, Secret Avengers 28, X-Men Legacy, and Uncanny X-Force. Maybe some of those would now be ahead of Wonder Woman even if not for Avengers vs. X-Men, but it's probably fair to guess that this event has knocked Wonder Woman down at least 10 rungs in the rankings. Before Watchmen has knocked it down another four, and then there are two issues of the new Spider Men book, adn DC's Second Wave adds a couple more books that are ranked higher than where Wonder Woman is right now. So all together that's more than enough, right there, to account for slipping from 25 to the the thirties.

You said it yourself--Wonder Woman sales are holding pretty steady. So its movement in the rankings is not a reflection of this book but of other things the companies are doing.

I like Nicola. Too bad she didn't draw more issues of Wonder Woman. How many issues did she draw, or was that just the Secret Six?

Not sure, I know she did parts of Simone's WW run, if not all of it, the Secret Six and Krul's Teen Titans before she started up on Earth 2. Also she did draw the Blackest Night Wonder Woman tie in.

Didn't he have a hand in the Coda over at WildC.A.T.S. for a minute there? I would be willing to give him a chance just to see what he would cook up.
