I kid, obviously. This. Is. BRILLIANT.
With the issue count at 6, i really hope this is collected as a deluxe edition.

I am not a huge Sandman fan in that i tried reading the first volume but i really could not get into the art at all..so with JH Williams attached, i really feel this could be the story for me.

Now THIS is how you handle a classic creator and a classic property, DC. Bravo. I'd also like to point out that I love the fact that Williams is the artist. He is obviously a brilliant illustrator, however I find his style to be a bit too..."fancy" for superhero fair. This is the sort of thing he should be doing as it fits his specific style to a T.

Really excited! I have a question for regular Vertigo readers. Do the monthly Vertigo floppies have ads in them? Generally anything I get from Vertigo is in TPB/HC format, but for this one I can make an exception if there are no ads.

Surprisingly I've only read a small portion of Sandman... BUT it's Gaiman and JHWIII... Here's my wallet.

Yes but they're not littered with ads, according to a friend of mine. Usually they're just ads for other vertigo books.

    Even so, i don't want a Gaiman's story being interrupted by ads, so I guess I'll trade-wait.

Neil Gaiman and JH Williams III. SUCH A PERFECT FIT. NEW SANDMAN.

This is more exciting than Marvel Now or Nu 52.

The fabled "Sandman Zero" story PLUS Williams' art?!?!

    SOLD.

Gotta love the palpable excitement Gaiman is showing as he announces.

Everything I've seen and read makes me think this isn't a cashgrab but the stars finally aligning for a creator to tell a long-gestating untold story.

    Woo.
