Namor is and has always been his own leader. Captain America knows this from experience.

Black Panther needs to be calling the shots for the Avengers, not Cap. I don't know whats going on with Cap, but innocent people are being attacked and the only thing he can think to do is say "I told you so." He needs perspective.

I think Captain America is speaking in the context of the Phoenix 5's "save the world" moves.

For all he knows, it was Scott Summers that ordered this.

Still, how does this square with the rescue mission he's purportedly on? For all Namor knows, Transonic has drowned by now.
I'm starting to doubt he ever intended to rescue anyone. Laurie getting captured only served as his excuse to finally do what he wanted in the first place: defying Cyclops and do things his way.

Damn it, Namor. You done fucked up now (unsurprisingly)...

Going by UXM 15, it seems to be a physical object that they walk through. I guess it's supposed to be like the Siege Perilous.

Cyke carrying a shield is weird. I guess it is all about symbols but a pf using a shield is odd.
He could be the "Red White and Blue Queen".

Namor followed orders from Cap in the past so it is not a stretch to think he is not gone off on his own now. And even if he has he represents Cyke side in the fight the same way when Falcon 's team went to JGS and screwed up that goes back to Cap to a degree. Sometime it sucks to be in charge.

Pretty much this issue the Avengers that are in Wakanda are gonna get rounded up. and in the tie-ins it'll be Cyke vs Capt. America and Cyke interrogating/torturing

Is it just me, or does each issue get more and more variant covers?
You need all those variant covers to get stores to keep those order numbers up to make it seem like the series was a hit.
If they werent there people would just be laughing that normal DC books are beating a Marvel event.

He at least notes the innocents but yeah he needs to narrow his focus for the moment.

Just seems like he's jumping to conclusions. Namor is leading an army of Atlanteans, not mutants. He's attacking the whole city, not just the Avengers. He's obviously in "King of Atlantis" mode, not "X-men" mode. And nobody commands Atlantis but Namor. Cap should know all this, since he's known Namor longer then anybody else.

All of DCs top selling titles have 1:25, 1:50 variant cover ratio.

    Just saying.

    Gallows humor, maybe?

This is pretty similar to how Logan wanted to kill Hope, which didn't represent Cap's idea. Namor wants to go to war, which isn't Scott's idea. And Logan was (arguably) higher in the chain of command in this op then Namor is.
