It's been that way since issue # 26 IMO.

Yeah, considering he's made out with his own mom before (alternate timeline/clone/wahtever...she was STILL his mom), it wouldn't bee a stretch for him to try to put the moves on Rachel.

    LOL!
Only if said explosion takes out Cypher and Warlock while the others get away.
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

Granted, this issue's artist isn't really known for rendering attractive characters, but Future Doug is ruullllly ugly.

Was trying to remember which New Mutants haven't had an alternate future or alternate present version that was evil. Sam, Bobby, Rahne, and Amara had evil future versions in NM(v1) #32. Bobby and Amara had entirely different evil future versions in NM(v1) #49-50. I can't remember offhand, but I feel like we've seen at least one future where Warlock turned into the Magus, right? Illyana is arguably, at best amoral now, since she gambled her friends' lives and basically the entire world on getting Legion into the right position to kill the Elder Gods. Illyana and spoilers:
    Dani
end of spoilers were evil in that alternate reality from Breaking Into Comics the Marvel Way #2. Now we've got evil Doug.

Has there been an evil future Shan in any stories? (Not when she was possessed by the Shadow King, that doesn't count.)

    And Cypher did, too.
I was never a fan of Cypher save that he was a headliner mutant back in the day with a wimpy power making his way in the big leagues. After Selene brought him back his uber-upgrade did give him potential if they had properly cleared up his not-dead status and focussed more evenly on interesting interpretation of his language skill - which they actually showed possible in maybe a few pages over all this time.

I was never a fan of Blink but never read Exiles to have strong opinion. Since Diskord she has been interesting and offered some newblood in a title that has been slowly dying.

Underappreciated character. She should stay space based, though, but with more cameos. She could have been an act in that casino Logan and Quire just visited in WatX!

    That is a reasonable theory.

Agreed. And this issue bothered me moreso because of the new look of Warlock that has seemed like artistic interpretation when in fact the 'old transmode look' is in fact completely do-able as evidenced by the future Lockware. Grrr. Why aren't more fans against this ongoing ... I can't even think of a clever sound byte for it.

This was an improperly overlooked story moment that never happened yet!!

Aw, with all the different takes out there this one wasn't that bad. It actually had some interesting details addressed. The missed touchdown error makes good sense, the protective chronal sleeve was cool and I loved the hazards of same shared space/time of characters that Stan Lee introduced via the Space Phantom a lifetime ago!

Yep. No drama to it at all! Beast at a loss for words? Whats up with that?! And that electical shock was as troubling as anyone rubbing socks on a shag rug and touching someone for that level shock value. Oh, and Magma dangerously...dug a ditch. The most emotive image was the cover for next issue.

I barely remember that rockband arc. I skimmed through it and thought it looked silly so I didnt bother. Why was that location so significant? Should I go and buy the arc?

The arc was awful. I bought the issues and I threw them away. Not worth keeping. I can't stand mediocre comics. Not good enough to savor, not bad enough to enjoy for kitsch.
