Yeah, I hate to be picky about things, but seriously (as I mentioned in another post) my 4 year old knows the difference between 616 Thor and Ultimate Thor, why can't the artists? It would take two seconds to pick up the latest copy of Ultimates, look at Thor and make sure you get his costume, appearance and weapon correct. Getting it wrong is just lazy.

Don't forget that mistake made is past AT LEAST 2 editors as well. Nobody thought to alter it.

The fight was pretty epic, but that ending was heart-wrenching. Made me really miss our Peter Parker today.

I'd assume somewhere after Divided We Fall since Miles mentioned that Uncle Aaron was possibly dead and Fury is around despite him being off the radar in The Ultimates currently.

It was awful. I liked the first two issues but this read like fanfiction. What was the purpose of all that fighting? We would also have no reason to believe 616 parker looks anything like Ultimate when you remember Nick Fury doesn't, Aunt May, Uncle Ben , Mary Jane don't. All they share is a name.

There is precedent for UU heroes looking like their 616 counterparts. Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, Professor X, Peter Parker (obviously), Rogue. You get the picture, some look the same some are completely different.

Sharing similar features is not the same as looking alike. Nobody ever mistakes Xavier for Patrick Stewart.

None of the marvel characters do. Ultimate Fury however looks like Sam Jackson in universe and out.

and Sam Jackson isn't the best example. They asked him if they could use his likeness and it was decided they should cast the guy who Ultimate Nick Fury was based on.

But yeah, some Ultimate characters look like their 616 counterparts. Peter is similar to 616 Peter. He's was just made younger. And ever since they decided that the Ult Universe was an Alt Universe rather than a modern interpretation I guess they also decided that 616 Peter basically looks like an older version of regular Peter. Just like Xavier and Magneto look like younger versions of their counterparts. And like storm, and wolverine, and cyclops, and rogue, and mary jane, and gwen stacy, and nightcrawler, and blah, and blah blah.

It's really nothing to get hung up on really.

Yes but you could mistake 616 Xavier with UU Xavier which was your original issue I believe that 616 Pete shouldn't look like UU Pete. Hell Logan even wore his Ultimate Costume in 616 for a little while. Fury is a one off, no other UU characters are based on celebrities.

They all look like their 616 counterparts except they are younger and follow younger fashion trends (except for Fury). Take yourself from High School or Grade School (depending on your age), bring him into present time, slap a pair of skinny jeans and a tight purple hoodie on him and bam! There you go. Ultimate Apothecary.

That doesn't apply to every one. The ultimate universe is different enough that it isn't an alternate 616 but it's own universe and all similarities are coincidental. Ultimate ben reilly is a black man, Osborn doesn't have that ridiculous hair-style. It is highly unlikely that 616 peter would confuse someone with his appearance.
