It was the Phoenix that got Thor, really. No surprise or controversy there.
The controversy is the Psylocke/DD fight. Psylocke could have easily taken DD down without experiencing his radar sense. This was just POS.

Thor should lose to a Phoenix. But from what i've read it seems he was totally humiliated, again. It's like he doesn't have a movie franchise of his own and is just some D-Lister or something. Thor these days is used as nothing but a measuring stick. You know, for a artificial holy shit moment.
i enjoyed the Psylocke/Daredevil battle. the Thor/Emma battle...not so much.
Oh dear. Look at that hammer brand! ROFL!
I tend to agree also. Starting with JoeQ and Palimotti's Marvel Knights imprint, I've often thought that Marvel has highly favored the noir genre over just about everything else.
Poor Thor. LOL!
Yes, Pumice. That's how Namor lost his VS fight to the Thing. He apparently was hit by a flying piece of pumice that stunned him. Apparently Pumice has far more impact force than bullets or the Thing's rocky fists.
She sings directly to the sheep, "Oh noble sheep, we eat your babies. We use your brain to fight off rabies, but the most beautiful gift you give us is wool."
I'm pretty sure they are just going to have Hulk show up at the end, do nothing, and leave.
Honestly, this is why I like not having Hulk on the Avengers or in summer crossovers aside from WWH. It keeps him from being jobbed out as much as Thor has been.
I hope that Thor is able to get revenge on Emma before she loses her powerup. Having him get physically dominated sounds depressing.
The problem of Thor being depowered in the Avengers has existed literally since the beginning. In the first 14 issues about 3 different fights end when Thor uses Mjolnir to send the bad guy to another dimension. Shortly thereafter he was written out of the book and contrary to popular belief was not around all that much over the next 45 years. Heck, Eric Masterson may have a longer uninterrupted run in the Avengers than Thor.
When Thor was around, he was regularly depowered, jobbed, or the issue of him "holding back" was expressly dealt with on page.
I am not sure that anything is new. Still, I like it when Thor let's loose and crushes some baddies.
Loved!!!!!!!!! Psylocke won for me!! YAY! If Daredevil hadn't said all that stuff at the end, he'd have ended up in a coma.
