LOgan asked, his eyes looking for a shrinking apparatus or something that ant-man, giant man, or yellowjacket would have.

Logan saw that Pym had the superhero equivalent of the 'thousand-yard stare'. He was so broken and acclimated to the system, he hadn't even considered it.

"Sorry, even I could shrink that small (which I can't), Ultron only allots me just enough Pym Particles for my tools and work orders. It's not easy having to do maintenance for an entire space station, but then, that's why I have you guys in my 'employ'."

Evaine has been quietly testing the limits of the constraints placed on her powers. "Exactly how do these Obedience Disks work?" she asks Pym. "Do they prevent us from even trying to do something our captors would not wish, or do they simply punish us if we make the attempt? Do the disks force us to follow direct commands; and in that case, are we free to act in the absence of any instructions to the contrary?"

"If you have powers, there's a good chance that the disks make you forget how to use them, or worse, you try to use them and they backfire catastrophically. Other than that, there's a manual device that enables the guards to trigger a sensory overload to your nerves-- not quite an electric shock, but close. Get enough of those, you're going to be laid up for a while, maybe even paralyzed.

"A Red Skull? You're a real rarity around here... were you chosen because of a pure strain of Super Soldier Serum in your body? Usually he only abducts Captain Americas for that..."

"I think you will find anyone in this group to be hard to swallow." The Red Skull replied. Walking up to the bars. "Now if Ultron's monkey doesn't have anything else of merit to say. I think all of us would prefer to wallow in our self pity."

"So telling you to bite me would be a literal invitation to you, huh?

Uck. I'm not interested in being your snack, either."

"Is that right, fuzzy? Because the fact is, I could go for a bite myself....

I struggle up from the floor, still reeling from the shock. Didn't make me more complacent, though. If anything I'm pissed. I've just about had it with demoralizing detention camps.

"Transmode Virus?" Irene said, with alarm. "This is worse than we thought."

"Indeed. It's just like the alternate reality where I came from, where the dominionist authorities were trying to to turn some of us into Hounds. They would use "technological" implants derived from the Omega Nimrod Seraphim Sentinels. They believed these implants were technological, but a lot of our mystics in the resistance sensed some evil evil mystic power behind them. They turned Jack Russell, John Jameson and Rahne Sinclair into a Hound team - they thought they had a cute, overthemed sense of humor, and that they could get away with it because of the public's perception of werewolves, supernatural or otherwise."

“I’d be delighted to accept the defense contract, and at great discount for the government” said Sebastian Shaw, President of the TripleSeven Club. He shook Senator Gyrich’s hand firmly.

“Thanks to you and your wife Celine, Mr. Shaw - as well as you, Mr. and Mrs. Minoru. You are all great patriots.”

“It’s we who want to thank you, Senator,” said the stunning, impeccably dressed raven haired woman known as ‘Celine Shaw.’ “What you’ve done to protect us all from these witches and demon-worshippers, with their sadomasochistic perversions – I can now sleep at night again.” The barest hint of a smile edged her ruby lips as she took a sip of wine.

"Maintenance? I've had quite a few jobs but this will be new" Logan told Pym. "I heard Ultron mention Doom earlier, why is he still alive? I mean I thought Ultron would've wasted Doom first thing?" he asked, a bit curious. "Or maybe I was just hearing shit, was I?"

Logan had begun to pace around the room, walking by the others. He was letting the answers roll around in his head, thinking of what to do exactly

Indigo Rose ran over to the Night Nurse. "Just be still for a moment. Let the shock pass." She stood nearby and tried to make the vampire comfortable. "Has the collar affected your vampire stamina? My passive powers don't seem that affected. My powers aren't a genetic fluke.

I just can't remember how to use them. That means 'The Sight' comes to me in random flashes. Because of that, I walked into that little tete a tete with that...with Blastarr. I've never heard about him eating humans, though. Conquering them and blasting the hell out of 'em, sure. Going Hannibal Lecter on them, not so much."

Lydia hated dealing with man-eaters. She recalled the Black Watch's very first mission: a trip back to the early 70's, to tired, dusty Fuller, Texas. Their mission was to foil a clan of mutants who preyed on unsuspecting travelers. They devoured their victims and loved every morsel of their meals. I bet not even the Exiles ever visited a world where Wolverine & Sabretooth were the heads of a cannibalistic pack of mutants who pulled off an even more fucked up version of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'!

Ruminating on that mission, she recalled certain unsavory particulars. We were too late to save their first victims, but Nomad and Shrike saved Erin Hardesty and her friends from Sabretooth. Faith took out Wolverine, who was posing as a sheriff. Rook and Reflex helped me infiltrate the Hewitt house...I'll never forget the awful smell!

I'd cast a spell to disguise Reflex and me as 'locals' with a 70's twist. Rachel chose Daisy Dukes and a white t-shirt that she practically burst out of! Ha!

It turned out that I bore an uncanny resemblance to one of their first victims. Her name was Chrissie. That made my illusion spell even more effective when I confronted Annalee with the 'ghosts' of their victims.

"Anyone with powers... powers he can use. Bioweapons, genetic engineering and neogenic recombination... For Ultron, the pursuit of empirical knowledge is everything.

Thank your lucky stars none of you are telepaths or a Herald of Galactus or... a, ah... a Kryptonian."

His voice became very quiet, looking around to see if anyone had heard him.

"No, you heard correctly. However, like almost all 'residents' here, Victor von Doom is from another reality, and the most elite of the Selects. In that regard, he's quite a tragically ironic figure-- he's from a future, the year 2099, where he singlehandedly stopped a Phalanx takeover of Earth."

Single handedly? "You don't say?" Logan asked rhetorically. "Guess you keep your enemies real close in this instance, considering Doom is prolly higher up on the chain than Negative Zone Furby here" Logan said, nodding to Blastaar. "I mean y'get the guy who stopped a Phalanx takeover so damn close to you and.."

Logan stopped talking, as he heard the whisper Pym had, then squatted down for a second in deep thought. whispers would be heard to the others with words like Doom,somethingsometing, super powers, Ultron, before standing back up, smiling at Pym. "Say Pym, where d'ya rank on this whole food chain Ultron's got? I mean you are his creator and all, he has to have a soft spot for you, even if it's in a sadistic way"

One among them heard Pym. Indigo Rose spoke up. "Yeah, we should be damned grateful Ultron didn't get hold of one of those." She met the inventor's eyes. "Yes, I heard you. Is there anything we can do to keep Ultron from that particular set of worlds?"

"He must," Pym says, lifting his vest open, "as I'm sure you've noticed, I'm not branded with an Obedience Disk like the rest of you. I've been here longer than anyone else, and I haven shown any symptoms of the Transmode Virus either."

One among them heard Pym. Indigo Rose spoke up. "Yeah, we should be damned grateful Ultron didn't get hold of one of those." She met the inventor's eyes. "Yes, I heard you. Is there anything we can do to keep Ultron from that particular set of worlds?"

He gives her a skeptical look in response.

"'Doesn't have those'? You really don't get it-- Ultron has everything that he wants. He's dipped his hands into every kind of reality that's out there. He keeps the Kr-- the aliens totally separate from the regular prisoners for use in specialized experimentation. As for 'what you can do'... you'd better shrug that optimism now, kid. You're a slave here, for life, and this facility has only had one escapee in as long as I can remember."

"I've noticed Pym, trust me on that. Your creation has more game than a mother#)*# bub. I can only grasp at what that murderous mechanoid has got cooked up there. He's really playing with fire though, keeping Doom as anything more than a head, that's for damn sure" He said, pacing the prison. He then whispered to Indigo Rose

"The tallus said a Wave of Doom shall overcome the Super-Man. If what Pym here is saying is what I think it is then I think we'll be able to recognize Ultron's new look" Logan told her, before looking at Pym again for now we should just play along and see if Pym can lead us to Doom, cause I think he's got something in the works for Ultron

"You've really given up, haven't you? No, I'm not putting you down. I get it. Concentration camps are designed to crush the human will to live." Indigo Rose met skepticism with a little understanding.



"My grandparents and Uncle Rodrigo were sent to Auschwitz." Lydia couldn't resist a quick cut of the eyes at the Red Skull. Then, she continued her tale. "The Nazis deemed the Roma 'labor-shy', tainted by 'foreign blood', and 'unfit for inclusion in the human community'. My grandparents only survived by ridiculous luck--they were singled out for slave labor at one of the factories at the close of the war. Uncle Rodrigo was going to be shot as an example to the other prisoners. He only survived by jumping into the pit and pretending to be dead. He waited until the last shot was fired, then escaped into the woods after hiding among the dead for hours."

Lowering her voice, Lydia said, "What does Ultron ultimately intend to do with the special prisoners? How does he dispose of the dead? Are the obedience collars keyed into powers in general, or keyed specifically to each of us? Even if you don't want to resist, at least help us by telling us whatever you know! I meant what I told Blastarr, I will not die in this fucking hellhole!"

"That's the thing. Ultron dispose any of the dead. He "recycles" them and adds them on to his army."

Noticing that Blastaar's attention was elsewhere, Hank raises his voice back to normal.

"There is a plan. I can't go into details right now. We lost a lot of good people the last time a mutiny was attempted."

Hank directs the Exiles' attention towards some of the other prisoners.

"Luke Cage was the last leader of the Avengers. Dammit if his team didn't fight to the bitter end.

That's Rick Flagg. I was told his team, the Suicide Squad, were brought here as a result of the time rift. With that team's combination of ego and bravado...they never had a chance.

And that man...."



"HEH. HEH. HEH. Bueno..."

"...Actually, let's not talk about him. What I'm getting at is don't try anything risky. I will personally make sure your team gets out of this gulag. For now, we gotta lay low. Lord knows what might happen if anyone else gets put in "The Box"..."

Suddenly, another prisoner instantly appears before the group.

Playing possum was something Logan could do, waiting until the right time to strike. He thought quite a bit about the knowledge Pym gave them regarding Ultron. Prisoners from different realities, the Obedience Discs, Pym's own relative 'freedom', Doom's arrival, the adamantium and mention of a kryptonian. Logan stood in the cell, looking around the room as he thought, muttering random words like "super" "ultron" "Doom" "Phalanx" and "cluster#)#"

Now Logan would never purport to being a super-genius, he left that kind of thing up to Stark, Richards, Majestic and the others, but he wasn't stupid either. He figured that with the information present, Doom would be working to usurp Ultron and take his position as head of this whole operation, and that somehow Ultron has taken Super-Man's body?

Yeah, things were looking pretty bleak, so he couldn't blame Pym for being real wary about it all, so Logan began to bide his time, grinning all the while
