~Castle would walk with Logan~"What he said"
"Dystopia is what the fellow mutants of the MLO thought our world was like. Convinced some of them that wasn't the case, others not so lucky"~He said as if he sounded like that was the way it was~
"If, indeed, there is anything we can do for them." Irene said. "Keep in mind that their enemy is an oppressive government. One does not get rid of such things overnight. The process is long, and difficult. One does not get rid of an entire empire just by disposing of its Emperor."
"I suppose you are right. There will no doubt be those brave enough to risk the consequences of going against the system." Irene replied.
"We have only just met, so I do not know much about your world." Irene said. "In my world, several people are working hard to prevent oppressive regimes such as this from ever coming to pass."
"Well as long as they aren't getting their grubby mitts on power then they must be doing something right."
"Our job ostensibly, is to go around and fix these worlds. Or at least try to turn back the balance of power with these Gems, and take Novus and his happy crew down a few pegs. Since we're here we may recruit if we can, or at least get some clue on what to do next?" Emma replied with a shrug.
"Serving real justice for all mutants and those who deserve it is a part of what I do. What I really] like to do? Take guys like this Novus down just a peg but down six feet under."
~Frank would earn a small smirk~"Heh, with me around? We will get the firepower. Trust me."
"That's how it worked before we found the Panoptichron. Reality jumping also used to cause nausea and make us barf all over the place upon arrival, but we got used to the effects over time. Novus must have fixed that, thank the devil for small favors..."
Nocturne makes a gag gesture. Even with the illusion of a four fingered hand, her digits still moved 'Spock style'.
"It's usually a pretty decent guide about what we have to do to fix a reality, but, like the Crystal Palace, it's finicky and might as well have a mind of its own."
"The Tallus did say something about Earth's Mightiest 'rising to avenge'. Looking for underground rebels could be what it meant, or at least a promising start... but it's not saying anything."
She began to follow Logan, when she heard Emma and Castle talk.
"Don't get me wrong, I want to beat the snot out of those Weapon X jerks as much as the rest of you guys, but I think we're getting ahead of ourselves. If Novus is making us do this old school, we're not going to be able to take 'souvenirs' to and from realities. The most we get is the clothes on our back."
~Frank would nod~"Eh, I bet some of the others here could do some damage with just the clothes on their back. But, just a hunch."
"I am sure some of us could." Irene noted. "But first, we must know more about the situation here. That broadcast gave us an indication of how this world is run. This world's rulers would send Justices and Sentinels after those who violate its laws. It seems that technology may well be on their side here."
"And we have yet to find those who might be opposing this regime." Irene said. "And at the moment, we can only make guesses as to where to look."
"Iron Woman, hate to ask you to expose yourself to this" No I wouldn't, EMma Frost is Emma Frost, smug #)*## B)#(# "but could ya pick up any radio on who's breaking laws around here?" Logan asks
they label me a villain cause of how I express my feelings
"Maybe not as much as you think," Jack says, noticing a Sentinel in the distance.
"This wows me plenty," Jack says. He nervously looks at his new wardrobe. "Are my other clothes safe somewhere?"
"This world reminds me too much of my own. We must act quickly and free these people!"

Even without Fisk's physical presence, Evaine could sense the cruel hypocrisy behind his words. "Had that man said 'Deryni' instead of 'mutants,' I could mistake him for one of the Regents now governing Gwynedd," she remarked. "Is there no world where self-serving liars are not believed by those who should know better?"
"Let those people take care, lest they themselves become oppressors in the name of preventing oppression."
"I daresay we shall get little thanks from those whose worlds we 'fix,'" Evaine commented. "In my world we overthrew an unjust regime. It took barely one generation before we who helped end one tyranny found ourselves persecuted under another. Human gratitude has a short memory."
"Can we free them?" Evaine asked. "Perhaps, but it is they who then must keep themselves free."Originally Posted by Jack
