Awesome. This is the way these characters should've been treated before. Really glad to see they're not overlooking the '80's runs. Some good stories there.
That sounds cool, with this on top of the Sonic Mega Man crossover, Archie has really stepped their game up.
Great idea of filling up the 'fifth week' hole!
Jeremy.
I can think of at least one partial cause of the team breaking up: at the time of cancellation one unrevealed member of the team was spying on them for the government. It was supposed to be the person they'd least suspect, though the person I'd least suspect, Black Hood, found out about it and was pretty POed. Sadly the series was cancelled before he could pay his friend a visit.
My first experience to the Red Circle Heroes was this digest...
What an awesome collection of stories. Who would have thought a dude with ski-mask, gun and motorcycle could have been so cool. I was just checking out some of Rich Buckler' artwork online the other night. Man, his Red Circle stuff is amazing.
Great news! I loved the 80s Red Circle books.
"The Valeyard is an amalgamation of the darker side of the Doctor’s nature. Somewhere between his 12th and final incarnation."
same here.
I got that during the summer it came out, re-read it many times and still have it. From there I got some of the older stuff (Archie Adventure and Mighty Comics Group stuff) and then when Buckler started the Red Circle line got that as well.
Eventually got the first Archie Superhero digest as well.
I think this is a great idea. I hope Archie decides to collect the '80s series as well. Start with digital releases, for sure, before the print collections.
I also hope to see Beau Smith do one (or more) of these Lost Crusader tales. They seem tailor made for him.
