Which teacher is on the outs?

Rogue's on the way out. The new teacher's likely to be someone from X-Factor if the cast really is about to be halved, or perhaps New Mutants. They should bring in Doug. His powers would make him a great asset to the school.

Aaron did want her after Schism, but I'm glad Gillen ended up with her. That said I'd be interested to see her in this book, even if I think she's a little too advanced to be a student (and a little too wild and unpredictable to be a teacher)

So, in the solicits for October for Wolverine and the X-men it mentions that a teacher is leaving. Who can it be? Lets speculate.

I think Rachel, Kitty, Beast and Iceman definitely stay.

My bets are on Rogue, Frenzy or Gambit leaving. And maybe Wolverine, but that won't be happening unless they change the books title.

Just because the solicit says a teacher is on the outs, it doesn't mean that any teacher leaves.

She's still a teenage girl, even if she also a resurrected demon sorceress. I think she'd actually fit pretty well with the new Special Class. Aaron's loves her, gave her some nice moments in AVX, and there's some great story potential for Kitty dealing with her. With Uncanny ending it seems like a good fit imo.

One has to wonder what would cause Rogue to be on the outs though. She, Kitty and Rachel have been the biggest proponents of the school, and if Wolverine can be on Uncanny Avengers and the school why not Rogue? Is she going to live with the Avengers who she supposedly hates? (Not to mention Rogue never shows up in WaTXM anyway so "dumping" her from the book would actually a non starter to any readers not reading the whole line)

I can't see why Iceman would be out either but at least he was an actual character in WaTXM.

I imagine it's a character who's actually relevant to the series, so either Rachel, Kitty, Iceman, Beast, or Husk. My bets are on Iceman. He's probably going to ANXM to chat it up with his younger self.

Exactly. Among the main cast members, he's the only one not featured on the solicited cover for October; besides, Aaron once said he had plans for Husk.. Though that might not mean much, honestly.

My initial guess would be Rogue, but she really hasn't done anything in WatXM that would cause her leaving to be a big deal. I can't imagine Wolverine, Beast, Kitty or Rachel leaving. So that really only leaves Husk and Iceman, but I really just don't know.

As for a new teacher, since they are breaking up some of the X-Factor crew, and that Havoc will be slumming it in Uncanny Avengers, maybe they will bring in Polaris? No sure what she would teach though.

Lorna has a Masters in geophysics. I doubt it'd be her though. Perhaps someone else from X-Factor, but I think PAD'll cling on to Polaris. As much as I enjoy the book, she'd be wasted in Wolverine and the X-Men.

I always thought is was a little hilarious that Lorna and Alex were actually qualified to teach, yet they got shuffled off to X-Factor while Gambit, Rogue and Rachel became educators. Headmaster Wolverine!
