I am with Quillero on this one. This negative incessant whining is annoying. There is no way Marvel just cuts two X-books without replacing then, especially for a relaunch they are promoting big time. Both New Mutants and X-Men: Legacy have been ridiculed and lambasted by fans on these boards for a long time, myself included. Why would Marvel keep two books around that have mediocre sales and negative fan responses on a high traffic website's forums? The answer is: they wouldn't. Marvel is going to cancel those two books and, I think they'll go and promote a better book or two. Marvel's crossover/event sales focused strategy relies heavily on tons of books for tie ins or being apart of the crossover/event. I am sure there are going to be releases to replace the mediocre New Mutants and X-Men: Legacy. Also, X-Men Legacy is ending at issue #275, they are totally going to retitled that shit just to get the #300 milestone issue.

Not surprising, really. They've both been underselling compared to the profiles of their cast and the amount of promotion they get.
Alas, I was hoping they'd just change the name back to X-Men and keep Gage.
Do we know which x-titles are safe yet, other than X-Factor?
I can't believe I'm losing Gillen on both Uncanny X-Men and Journey Into Mystery. SUCKAGE.

You mean Gambit's not a gay-themed book?
I think that Carey got sick of the hassle he was getting for Rogneto, didn't have the enthusiasm to finish his stories and left and Gage inherited a set-up and bunch of story-lines he wasn't invested in. They're not his stories, why would he get passionate about them? Fail, X-editors.I think the real problem for Legacy is redundancy; it doesn't cover any bases thematically that WAX and Astonishing don't already. Plus it's losing Rogue to UA, so even the POV angle is screwed. Gage got a bum deal.
Yep, a minor character would be fun. Or an Eternals book!
There are aspects of Captain America that I like (mainly the supporting cast and the atmosphere of some of his stories), but I can't even begin to point how would I enjoy an Iron Man book without Robert Downey Jr sexying it up.
