Default help finding an old "death race" style comic (late 80's-early 90's)

the comic could be best described as the long walk but with cars (allthough i don't think the losers got killed). you had people sponsoring different drivers, and during the race they would get preyed upon by outlaw gangs. One memorable character was a cyborg driver who was permanently implanted in his car. in one panel he orders a burger which he has the waitress stick in a slot where it is all mushed up to her disgust. there was also a family of mom, dad and two kids and they were all loaded with guns as they raced. it was a pretty violent novel if i remember correctly.

it sort of had a garth ennis feel to it but i don't believe he's behind it.

the comic was translated into my language when i read it so i have no idea what the english title would be. drives me nuts not remembering more about it though, hope someone can help :)

That looks pretty over-the-top and awesome. I think Chuck Dixon can be a lot of fun when he's not taking himself too seriously.

By the way, wasn't Car Warriors a micro-game or something? (I want to say it was put out by Steve Jackdson Games, but can't swear to that.)

EDIT: I found the info . . . the game was just called "Car Wars".

But the comic was based on the game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_Warriors

NOW Comics had a series called Neon Knight which was about a vigilante on a motorcycle. Don't know if that's what you're thinking about.

Hypnotize the desperate slow motionlight/Wash away into the rain
