Sounds like they have a good plan for this arc. I'm looking forward to seeing Joker face off against other members of the bat family, but especially Batgirl as she will have to face her fears in that one. it will be cool to see him versus Nightwing because the dialog should be excellent.
High expectations from me.
Chill!
This is also going to tie into other bat books which is smart, with Joker killing Jason and putting Batgirl in a wheel chair.

Another one. I ended up not liking most of the Night of the Owls tie-ins so I'm iffy on that aspect of this arc, but otherwise it sounds good to me. I'll be looking forward to this.
I can't wait for the Jason confrontation.
Currrently Reading- Suicide Squad,Justice League,Animal Man,Batwoman,Batman:The Dark Knight,Batman,Batman and Robin,Detective Comics, Wonder Woman and Jonah Hex
I'm a little more hesitant with this story than I was with the Owls. I have faith in Snyder & Capullo but this as a concept doesn't excite me as much as the Owls story did.
I think it's sort of a good thing and a bad thing how they have another story in the Batman title that spreads off into all the other books. It's a good thing because it promotes cohesion in the line and really does make it feel like one big family, plus it's logical (that like the Owls) this would affect every other Bat-book. But I think it's a bit of a bad thing because it subtly makes it clear that Batman is the main title that matters, and that everything else is sort of following along. It also keeps some other titles like Nightwing or Batgirl from really doing their own thing and branching out for a bit.
Actually, my first thought of a multi-part Joker story was the Emperor Joker storyline in Superman. While the Joker may not have been the main protagonist, it certainly showed him at his most criminally insane and evil self. If you haven't read this one you've missed out on a great Joker story.
The Joker's face is part of what makes him the Joker. For crying out loud!!!!
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
While Snyder doing a big Joker story is very exciting to me, I can't say that I'm liking the idea that it is going to crossover to other titles again. The Night of the Owls tie-ins were not so good save for a few and kinda hurt the main story a bit (the rather forced tie-in with Detective Comics). Night of the Owls, even though not executed well, is a crossover material: an army of Owls attacking Bat family. But what about this new Death Of The Family? Joker visiting every Bat character in their respective books? That would be weird.
Still, I'm looking forward to this arc and that cover is a killer!
"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot." - Dick Grayson
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." - Damian Wayne
And from the panel shown, he still has white make-up and lipstick. Maybe now he uses makeup instead of it being burned in so he can hide in a crowd like the Heath Ledger Joker.
The interesting thing about a Red Hood confrontation is it won't end with Jason killing Joker so how are they going to manage that? If Jason doesn't kill him by personal choice, he is a bit of a hypocrit.
Chill!
Although I got tired of Snyder's Court of Owls storyline (Aside from the revelation of issue 10), this Joker story has much more potential because most members from the Batfamily have a personal connection to him.
He played "games" with Dick when he was a Robin, killed Jason, crippled Barbara, tortured Gordon, etc. It's a lot more interesting to see how all these chaarcters would react at seeing him again than just making them fight masked undead assassins.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
I'm a bit disappointed that this is going to be another crossover event (although it will be intresting to see Gail Simone tackle Joker) as crossover events are very rarely any good outside their main driving book. 9 times out of 10 I prefer self-contained stuff.
I'm so excited!
Although the CBR interview didn't mention this, others did. I guess there's going to be imagery tied into tarot cards? Awesome (I'm hoping it's Rider-Waite inspired)!
...This sounds both fascinating and yet kind of... depressing? I guess we'll see, how it goes and I am quite intrigued where this is going. One thing that really stood out to me though was the point about TKJ and DITF not being about Barbara and Jason respectively and actually attacking them personally.
