Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet. ~ (full) lyrics to 'Exhume' by Bedhead.
Thanks Kees. 12 hours left...![]()
The demon in the bottom left looks like Shax from Soul of Venice
Found this little nugget on the Hellboy Wikipedia in their synopsis of BOX FULL OF EVIL. Seems to tie into the cover quite nicely...
"The crown is kept for Hellboy by Astaroth, in Pandemonium, the capital city of Hell; and a seat is reserved for the former in the House of the Fly."
Awesome, where'd you find that Middenway?

Ah well there you go

I still have that image from comicsalliance's recent Hellboy in Hell preview, of Hellboy's heart falling into an abyss, which then turns into the mouth to Hell, with the heart then turning into Hellboy. Mike... you sir are a master of imagery that goes beyond the typical. A more bombastic (and prosaic approach) might be to have Hellboy in thrall with demons holding him in chains, pitchforks in hand and lakes of fire about. At least that's an image that seems the more easily anticipated route. But not Mike. His approach is instead much more (dare I say) operatic and grand in scale. And if this page is a glimpse of the imagery yet to come, then Hellboy in Hell is going to be something else. One for the ages. Can't wait.
I found this on the Diamond Previews site today. I didn't notice any links to it on the board, but I haven't looked at every thread - apologies if already posted.
This page has a link to both covers and one page of the book, and lower down a "Top Ten Events in the Life of Hellboy"

Do you think thats Edward falling above Hellboy in the first image?
I'm guessing so from the following panel but not positive.
Strange seeing his legs... For some reason I imagined him nothing but cloak and mask now.

You know Neil, for every time I happen to read this particular comment of yours I'm wishing more and more that you actually wouldn't have posted it.
Because it reads really very weird, although if I'm misunderstanding stuff then feel free to set me straight. Like your comment implies or implores on some kind of personal discontentedness or snark or grudge from the past that really couldn't be my or anybody's fault or business, except most likely your own.
Again: if I mis-interpret any of this then please set me straight.
But surely no Facebook nor any comic book creators on it could be being a problem here.
So if you insist on being sure that these pages wouldn't be meant for you to look at, then I trust you won't be peeking at them. It's the only thing I can come up with to resolve this.
I respond here since you happen to be among my facebook-friended persons, since I'll friend most any Hellboy Forum member, but I wouldn't want to have to regret that. Which I don't mean as a threat, or as anything un-resolvable, but more rather as it being a responsibility of sorts, for anyone it'd be to concern.
