Also, as Balfro mentioned, he and I both read through USM and took notes of the dates. We've compared notes, and I have the rough timeline compiled (I did the same thing for Ultimates, which I believe I posted in a thread at some point last year). I have since gone through X-Men and Fantastic Four with the same goal. After I read through all the minis, I should be able to painstakingly compile an as-accurate-as-possible timeline of the UU. So keep your eyes peeled over the next few months!

Now, as far as dates go, they're irrelevant. They happen "now." This year's "now" would be 2012 and the "now" from ten years ago would be 2002, but they're only about two to three years apart.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

Yes, it is 2012. And as far as the timeline right now is concerned, Peter was bitten by his spider in 2010.

Anyone can choose to ignore this because it wasn't directly stated about Peter. But if Kitty is 17, then that means Peter was. There's really no more argument. The Kitty thing was the last piece of info to be made official, and by extension it affects Peter. That's really the end of the story, if the fact that the entire USM series obviously spanned 2 years rather than less than one isn't enough.
I haven't read the newest Ultimate comics: X-Men issue yet, but this new information does make it more likely Peter was 17 when he died.
The only thing is that, Bendis is still the writer of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man which means Peter can become 16 when he died again very quickly.

So my current view will be Peter was 16/17 when he died. (both at the same time )

That works or better yet; we should all just let Peter rest in peace. Its not like it really matters at this point what age he is/was I'm curious to see what age Miles will be after 155 issues. Probably 12 yrs old.

Yeah I still can't believe they reverted them from characters in their early twenties to teenagers. Issue 1 Reed was 21 years old. By the time Ultimate Doom comes out after Ultimatum, in which again t states Sue was at least 22 years old, she says she's 18 years old. How does that serve the story? It just makes the writers seem like they're either incompetent or don't care.

Also in Ultimate Comics Spider-man #1 Pete states on page one that he's 16 years old. That's six months after Ultimatum. We all know the whole 130 odd issues before the relaunch couldn't have taken place in just six months. That means if Peter got bitten at 15, and full year of stories, then sixth skip he'd be around 16 1/2 by the relaunch. All those stories, Ultimate Doom and death of spidey he really should've at least been 17 at his birthday. Again why marginalize all those stories into just one year. The majority of that only being sixth months since there is a jump after Ultimatum. Think about it, how many times did Norman Osborn come back from the dead in a sixth month period? How long was Gwen actually "dead"? How many girls did Peter date and break up with in six months? The stories just don't work when cramped into that time frame. I really don't see Marvel's logic here.
