People should also indicate which ones they've read.

    I own all but 5 (62 out of 67?):

    1. Daredevil by Miller (have Visionaries, so waiting for really cheap price)
    2. Fantastic Four Vol. 2 (have tpb masterworks, so same as above)
    3. Uncanny X-men (sold for great price and replaced with HC Masterworks 1-8)
    4. Avengers: The Crossing (can't see myself buying this at all)
    5. Eternals (very low priority)

I will most likely skip several of the upcoming releases:
    1. New Avengers (already have OHCs)
    2. Marvel Zombies (not for me)
    3. Man-thing (on the fence about)

I've read all the omnibuses that I have in some format or another with the exception of John Carter and Women of Marvel. Both are on my to read list and keep getting pushed back. Punisher and Secret Warriors are on the way and I will most likely read both of them first.

Here is the picture I posted in the tail end of the last thread:

I'm been paging through a lot of OHCs and Omnis to prep the new feature in my collecting guide, and man - comic art is really meant to be seen at that size. It just feels and looks right! MPEs all seem so teeny and lame by comparison.

What is the Deadpool OHC in the dead middle?

Having read almost everything, which of the less popular OHCs do you feel we should give a chance?

Well now that would be a much shorter list.

Too much stuff going on so reading is going very slow.

That is the first volume of the current series by Way. It has Deadpool 1-12 and Thunderbolts 131-132.

Most of them are discussed regularly, so it is hard to assess the less popular. With that said, I would recommend Hickman's Shield and Rodi's first two Thor volumes. Shield is very similar to Hickman's Image work with fun ideas. Rodi's Thor has great art and a sublime feel to it. All three recommendations are on the smaller size for OHCs and easily obtainable/cheap.

you will have every omnibus in title but not title AND printing, until you get all 1st and 2nd printings, etc of them all i say your collection is incomplete and variant covers

in all seriousness, that would be insane...i might do that if i had infinite time, space and money...mostly the money though
Marvel: ASM, Deadpool, Thor, Iron Man, etc
DC: Batman and related, Green Lantern, The Flash, etc
Omnibus wishlist: Classic Deadpool, Pak Hulk, Spider-Man 2099

I've never read hickman's work. I want to. I really do. Maybe I'll start with these Shield books. I'm really interested in his Fantastic Four, but I don't want to go with the PHCs. Hopefully they're collected in OSHC or omnibus soon.

Unless you plan on facing them all out, you would almost never see the covers just the exact same spine (Miller works and CA Vol.1 notwithstanding). I take the cover off when I read them, so I get even less time with it. I try to order the cover I prefer, but most of the time I go with the better deal. Space-wise, having all the variants would almost fill the Expedit that I posted a few posts ago. That thing is approximately 6ft by 6ft! You would need a large library and a strong, non-pragmatic desire to burn money. There is probably someone out there seriously doing it though...

I honestly would suggest starting with Nightly News (Image OHC). While his Fantastic Four is wonderful, I don't think it showcases all of his talent(s). I personally loved Shield and its zany ideas. I am not sure if the second volume is completed yet.

These cell phone pics do not give this cover justice, Spider-man just jumps out at you and the colors are amazing!

I Love DC, but have a man crush for Captain America

im like you too, i usually get the better deal and will take the cover off to read. the usm bagley cover and romita sr asm v.2 are the ones i specifically targeted and still kicking myself about the romita jr avengers (grrr)....but not so upset it takes away from the contents of the book.

considering ill never have infinite money, itll never happen for me. youre probably right there is someone out there doing this and i would like to see pictures...on here DonEMC may be close, and im sure theres others??
