Sorry, but it was back before the newspaper I worked for went online, so there is no way to read the reviews and I wouldn't even know where those reviews would be in my boxes of newspapers I never got around to clipping. I might have thrown them out with a lot of my clippings (you can't save every article you write in a 20-year news and writing career).
I sometime wish I'd kept the reviews on a disk or hard drive, but, most of the time, I wrote them, they were printed and then forgotten. I wrote so many over 20 years. I can't even remember why I disliked Hellboy, but, I know I did, and have stayed away from Mignola's work ever since. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
I am hitting a major new year dilemma, friends: I am dead out of shelf space.
You've previously seen every inch of my 4x4-block Expedit shelves filled with every X-Men collection ever printed. Well, I pulled them out from the wall and now the opposite side is full too - 3 blocks of complete FF, 4 blocks of complete Bendis Avengers, 3 blocks of miscellaneous Marvel, 1 block of Cosmic Marvel, 1 block of non-X omnis, 2 block of non-Marvel, and 2 blocks of X-overflow!
I have enough room to squeak in the last 10-12 books of the series I follow prior to Marvel Now! relaunch, but then that's it! The shelf is already dominating the entire room to the point that it needs to move into another room of my house in the new year.
Have any of you hit this same point in your collections? What have you done?
As previously discussed, I have worked out a solid budget to collect the Marvel Now! X-titles, but I have no idea where a single one of them could go.
(PS: Aside from 3 of the shelves of Bendis Avengers and my newfound Journey into Mystery addiction, its not even like I started going after a lot more books than I previously collected! This was just a pretty big year for X-back-issue reprints and the double-shipping of so many books filled more blocks than I had budgeted for the year.)

I'm pretty much there right now. My four full-sized bookshelves are filled up. Fortunately, my purchases are not as often as before so I've been able to make room for new books by culling selected books in my collection or double dips. For example, I decided to keep the omnibus so I just sold off my New X-Men vol.1-3 OHCs. That made room on the shelf for Fear Agent L.E.
I am nearing 200 long and short boxes of TPBs, HCs and OHCs in my comic book room. It's getting to the point that I can't see the original art hanging on my walls and there's only a tiny path into the room and no way to turn around in it. I've been selling off omnibuses (8 boxes gone so far) and some of the singles I've bought (selling them by the box at very little over what I've paid for them) and a few TPBs (I discovered I have up to 50 copies of some TPBs), but it hasn't left a dent. I discover stuff I forgot I'd bought and sometimes it pays off to pop those up on eBay. But, I figure if I totally stop buying comics and such altogether, it will still take about five years to sell off the hoard...
So, I'm right there with you on a lack of space.
And thank God my parents haven't asked me to take the long boxes of comics I still have at their house... And at my summer home there's all those comics...
