I disagree with Jeph York's response only because none of the recolored covers for an UXM book has ever let me down significantly in terms of contents ;) the only disappointment here would be if it was a TPB instead of an OHC, as the Wedding of Cyclops and Phoenix was.

Enlighten me. I have been working on research paper and am too lazy.
It is a cover from smack in the middle of Claremont/JRJR X-Men, none of which has ever been reprinted in color outside of scattered singles, as in the Secret War II Omni.

Jeph is such a wet blanket in that post. I'd be just fine with an OHC of 199-209 to tide me over.

Claremont/JRjr has always been near the top (if not at the top) of my most desired collected editions. I hope what we get will fill in the gap between the Masterworks and Mutant Massacre in a nice oversized format and not turn out to just be a paperback. If that were to happen the tone of this forum could turn ugly real quick.

exactly my feelings. I have been extremely impressed with

    Claremont/Lee 1&2
    Bishop's Crossing
    Xcutioner's song
    Xtinction agenda

    ect.

These books are incredibly well produced and the extras kick ass

Same for me as these issues where in my prime collecting days. I was paying for them with paper route money and then got a part time at super-market. Nothing like starting at minimum wage of $3.35 an hour.

There was also this on Mason's fb page. Not sure if people have seen it, it's been up a while. I guess he is a pretty reliable source seeing as he has coloured all of the other recent x-men OHC covers.

I am under the impression that is the front or back cover for the next Essentials, since that issue already appeared in the Claremont/Lee Omni.

I really hope not, although I see your point. Do people really buy essentials?
