The New Warriors omni is of definite interest to me. X-Force - I might be if the stories are good. I probably won't preorder though.

I don't really read Xmen, but now that I've read that you're right. Last Xmen book I read was schism, cyclops was a bit villainous there. Just seemed like a (poor) excuse to kickoff the event.
Finished reading AvX and I'm torn, the last 7 or so issues are surprisingly really good. First issues aren't quite frankly, it's like two different books in one. Also not a fan of the VS stuff except the last issue which had some hilarious one page AvX stories.
With all the binding issues it's a real pain to read the spreads, as a lot of small panels are smack in the middle of double page spreads and end up in the gutter.
Don't think I'll be keeping this, Marvel better not be adopting this binding for future large hardcovers as its terrible.
I would wait. Once it's "officially" OOP, everyone scrambles for it, and Ebay prices skyrocket. They then tend to stay there for a bit before coming down.
I sold my X-Men SA 1 at around $125 back when, I think they went even as high as $175 at times, but I was happy with that since it wasn't a book I was ever going to read again. If you need the $ right now, I'd post it with reserve or high starting price (but I know you know what you're doing in that regard) otherwise I'd recommend holding onto it for a little while longer.
Also, think about this - a lot of folks get $ for Christmas, so perhaps more people will have disposable income as of 1/1/2013 and will be willing to bid higher on a collectible book then before Christmas. Good luck.

My review of Absolute Dark Victory
If I were a MOD I would ban anyone who uses the stupid word "omniboo."
This is exactly how I felt. I suffered through he first few issues just because I knew it would change things in the Marvel universe but I hated every second of it. But... the later 2/3 of the event were actually really good and enjoyable. As soon as JRJR got off the art even the writing seemed to turn around and start being interesting and enjoyable. Personally, I felt the VS stuff was just filler.
Marvel cosmic needs Jim Starlin back. As long as he is prohibited from using the word 'myriad' ever again.
"Hold my Annihilus." - Johnny Storm, Captain of the Annihilation Wave Armada
I'm sure it is part nostalgia. I really enjoy Inferno, X-tinction Agenda and the like. And I'm sure enough people have caught it to be at least an epidemic. I already have the MPEs and don't know yet if I will upgrade.
Liefeld did create (or co-create) two of the more enduring new characters from that era: Deadpool and Cable. His personality doesn't bother me- I tend to avoid artist's "pseudo-celebrity" as it generally has nothing to do with the stories I read or how I enjoy them. I mean I would have to avoid Byrne, Miller, David and countless others if that were the case.
Random: I am humored by how many people hate on Silvestri's 80's X-men work, when he is one of my favorites. I loved the scratchy/sketchy look.
