New Sailor Moon anime in 2013!

I've only seen a few segments of the English dub on Youtube to know it was an abomination.

The news of a new anime has my psyched! I'm totally digging that the original voice cast is returning.

Yeah, anyone liking the original dub does so out of nostalgia (which I freely admit is me).

See, I would personally enjoy seeing an amalgamation of the ideas in both the manga and the first anime being executed in the remake.

That'd be interesting. Especially with certain aspects of characterization (Nephrite being one that comes to mind).

But yes I'm excited for this, especially because of the hopes of a faithful adaptation and dub.

The only version of Sailor Moon I liked was PGSM. If this new anime takes more of a cue from that I'll be happy.

So excited about the news. I'm glad we'll be seeing more plots like Endymion's four general's.

The manga designs are way more unique and interesting. Stoked to see Sailor Moon done in modern animation!

I'm mostly excited to see if the series will make it all the way to the end. I'd love to finally see the Dream arc done properly. As much I as I love Sailor Moon, the SuperS arc is always a chore for me to watch.

I'm a straight guy and SM is one of my guilty pleasures cause i was a teen in the late 90s watching it on Toonami and had the hots for Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Serena and Pluto. This reboot should sound promising i believe.

I only watched the Japanese version of Sailor Moon (I tried a dubbed version and it was just too awful for words), and it's an amazing show. I can't wait for more.

Agreed. The voice actors, to me, weren't bad(Well, at least until they got to S and Super S by changing half of the Senshi's original VAs). It was the scripting that bothered me and even then, I found it funny.

I was astounded about DIC's editing policies, though. They apparently have issues with impaling and the like, but talks of death were still mentioned on occasion. And the few times that the characters bled wasn't omitted. Hell, they even let us see Neptune turn into a pin cushion by bullet fire (sure, it wasn't graphic, but it's certainly above 4kids' editing quality). Oh, and the fact that nearly all panty shots were miraculously left intact. Even a scene where Rei/Raye was accidentally looking up Mina/ko's skirts, prompting a "Do you MIND?!".

I remember Nephrite getting a bundle of thorns through the chest and purple blood everywhere.

Though, I dunno, cartoons never seemed that gory to me.

I'm actually pretty curious to see a new Sailor Moon series redone. I wonder if they're going to bring back the original voice cast back for this.

Also like the SM: Another Story RPG game, where they reference Queen Beryl's Shitennou were Prince Endymion's (Mamoru Chiba) guardians, and they appear as ghosts in the game to help four of the Sailor Senshi get the respectul gems of each of the Shitennou when Momoru ends up injured by the Opposito Senshi.
