From today's Axel-In-Charge: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=39603What happen [after AVX] is, events compel the Avenges and the X-Men to re-think themselves as organizations — who they are, what they stand for, how they operate. For one team, that starts with new leadership, and a new challenge to that leadership. For the other team, it means rethinking the philosophy of how it operates and how it is composed and dealing with the loss of a major character, who must embark on a new mission that requires he goes elsewhere.
So... New leadership for the X-Men. I suppose this doesn't definitively state that Cyclops is out (now it's Cyclops AND Person X!!), but it's looking like he's gone. This in mind, I definitely wouldn't mind the "X-Force with Cable" idea that's being tossed around...Coming out of "AvX," the Avengers will have learned some lessons that will prompt some big questions about who they are, how they're composed, and what they're here to do. Where-do-we-fit-into-the universe?-level questions. Add to that the departure of one prominent team member who'll embark on an urgent mission elsewhere, and, well, they'll be dealing with a lot.
