Default New Leadership For The X-Men After AVX

    From Newsrama article: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/marv...el-alonso.html

What happen [after AVX] is, events compel the Avenges and the X-Men to re-think themselves as organizations — who they are, what they stand for, how they operate. For one team, that starts with new leadership, and a new challenge to that leadership. For the other team, it means rethinking the philosophy of how it operates and how it is composed and dealing with the loss of a major character, who must embark on a new mission that requires he goes elsewhere.
    From today's Axel-In-Charge: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=39603

Coming out of "AvX," the Avengers will have learned some lessons that will prompt some big questions about who they are, how they're composed, and what they're here to do. Where-do-we-fit-into-the universe?-level questions. Add to that the departure of one prominent team member who'll embark on an urgent mission elsewhere, and, well, they'll be dealing with a lot.
So... New leadership for the X-Men. I suppose this doesn't definitively state that Cyclops is out (now it's Cyclops AND Person X!!), but it's looking like he's gone. This in mind, I definitely wouldn't mind the "X-Force with Cable" idea that's being tossed around...

Didn't this just happen with the X-Men in Schism and the Avengers after the Dark Reign fallout????

The new leader is Havok in a Cyclops costume.

Why Marvel thinks people like Storm, Logan andFrost will listen to Cyclops' little brother is beyond me.
Sorry Brevoort, Alonso and Lowe, but Jean Grey is a classic character. She'll outlive you regardless. :)

It's not going to be a female. When was the last time a female led in a flagship X-Men title? Well, there was Rogue in Mike Carey's X-Men/Supernovas, but that didn't last long. She could be considered in X-Men Legacy, but that's not a flagship title. We thought X-Men Schism would have completely new leadership, but it was just Cyclops and Wolverine again.

Why are people suspecting Havok the new leader? Has he done anything recently?

Cyclop's is seriously injured and we all assume that it's the end but they perform a brain transplant between him and Alex for the greater good.

Cyclops is probably the leader who leaves & embarks on a new mission that leads him elsewhere, which is why he is in the red suit. Probably starting some new type of team.

Nope! That's what I assumed too, but then Axel reveled today that it will be the Avengers who lose a team mate. I'm thinking Iron Man it this point, since he's not in Uncanny Avengers.

I'm sure that there are other female leaders, didn't Siryn take over X-Factor for a while?

If Cyclop's does end up leaving I think there is a strong possibility he could end up in X-treme X-Men as he is familiar with all the characters from their mutual abduction by the Xavier with a head of hair.
