Wanda and Nightcrawler were cute in the WatXM cartoon. It had a "street urchin meets princess" feel to it, I especially liked the Mojo episode.

I guess I'd like to see her alone for a while. Writers have a LOT of repair work to do on the character and that's best done by letting her focus on herself.

Same thing with Jan, whenever they bring her back (which I hope will be the very first post-Bendis storyline): Let her be re-established as a character in her own right, one of the Avengers' best leaders, without trying to pair her up with anyone (especially Hank, since some writer inevitable comes along and butchers that relationship again).

That episode also had the benefit of being slightly less Wolverine focused. Slightly. Can animated characters have chemistry? I do think that pairing worked well in that series.

I suppose that the voice actors can if they really get into it instead of just viewing it as a paycheck. The funny thing about that show was that despite Logan being the star, he actually seemed pretty shoehorned in and the parts he didn't feature in were much better. Its depiction of Wanda especially was spot on.

I actually thought Wanda and Dr. Doom had potential.

I think the idea of a hero and villain having real feelings is something they can play with. Wouldn't mind them exploring that more.

I got so frustrated about every other episode, when the plot would advance, and I would be really interested in what was going on, and suddenly the theme of the next episode was "let's put saving the world on hold of a while until Logan finishes some more personal crap from his past." Overall I really liked it, but I agree that Wolverine's "personal" stories felt like they were shoved into a good X-Men cartoon. And I miss sane but conflicted Wanda.

Do you remember that episode where Silver Samurai takes out all the X-Men and Logan comes back and recreates the entire scene using his super smell or something? The odd thing is Wolverine doesn't actually fit naturally into most of the stories they try to tell with either Avengers or X-Men, and he just shows up anywhere because well, he's Wolverine, why the hell wouldn't he? Plus I think the name "Wolverine and the X-Men" does a disservice to the franchise.

Getting back on topic, in Children's Crusade Wanda mentioned that she needed to stop being just known as Vision's wife, Quicksilver's brother, or Magneto's daughter and be her own woman for a while, and I agree. Sad thing that people would even think that, given that she's probably been more important to the MU than those three combined, but that's the fate of female comic book characters I suppose. God, why am I quoting that book again.

Nah. Let her be single for a while. Too many female characters end up being defined by their relationships, which ends up making them far less interesting. Any time you've got a situation where readers can only envision one character by putting them with another, it's bad. There are occasional exceptions (Cloak & Dagger, for example). But by and large, it's just a major disappointment.

Wanda, Mockingbird, Jean Grey, to a certain extent Jan - they're all characters who are "X's girlfriend/wife/ex-wife/dead wife." They deserve a chance to just be "stone cold badass."

Vision... don't get me wrong, i don't want them eating together at olive garden next issue, but they should slowly start to gravitate towards one another over the next year or so... they just have a really unique relationship that is entertaining to read about.

I think it's been long enough that putting them back together could be interesting. Also, I think both have been through so much in recent years, a back-to-basics approach makes a lot of sense.

I would love for Wanda and Vizh to get back together again and at some point I think that they will. They've been thru enough over the past 15 years. If anyone deserves to be together and happy, it's them.

    I agree to an extent.

They've been apart for quite a while enough to make their dynamic seem fresh again given how much crap writers have thrown their way. I wouldn't go right into it right away though since I think Wanda's had interesting relationships with Clint and Wonder Man as well.

She has a lot of power and has been "unstable" That does have Scott written all over it.

But on the other hand she is the Scarlet Witch and the vison is scarlet, they do seem to match.
