Have to say I'm looking forward to this. Love the Ross covers, and Lau's art looks good.

Gads, the new costume is even uglier when you see the full pic of it. Makes zero sense for the character and serves to make him look extremely generic. And, another interview talking more about Moore and what he did with the character and how that fuels it as opposed to the inspirations that really drove the character. If you're going to talk about Moore, you should also talk about what Marvel has done with Iron Fist and the Amazing Man character.

Dynamite has a great record of taking characters I want to see in comics and then doing everything they can to then chase me away from the property.

I hate everything about this book except the art...which I have to say is fantastic. Why wasn't Lau on one of the Kirby books? His Silver Star covers were dope and would have made for a great interior artist there.

Just can't stand the fact that this book is getting an excellent artist and a huge push when Project Superpowers and Kirby Genesis get the shaft.

I can't wait to add this to my list of characters that I've never read or cared about that Dynamite has suddenly made me read and care about, it's uncanny how they have that strange power over me....

Consider me all-in for this title when it hits!

Just be ready for it to go on "hiatus" for a few months after issue 5 or 6 only to be "revived" with new and greater effort.

If this was a universe full of characters with a multitude of solo books I'd expect that, but Dynamite doesn't do that with all their titles. I've been reading Green Hornet, Warlord of Mars, Vampirella, Bionic Man, Lord of the Jungle, and now Flash Gordon for months now and they've all went untouched, DE only tends to do stuff like that with their universe launching events.

This is cool. One of the comics I read and re-read as a kid was a tattered copy of the original Thunderbolt. Some research reveals that it was #57, "Face of the Dragon". One of the things I loved most about Watchmen was that it drew on the Charlton characters.

In retrospect, Peter Cannon is the ultimate twink...

I love the old Charlton characters but I'm passing on this. Dynamite's track record has disappointed me the last few years. I miss P:SP. I hate how they launch a series & then seem to forget about it. Seriously how many books how Lau been the artist on only to be pulled from the book to do Dynamite's next "big" launch?

I love alot of the characters (pulp, Golden Age, Kirby) that they have the rights to but they lost me as a fan. The last series I bought from them was P:SP II & Green Hornet: Year One.

Apparently they'll be making an appearance in the upcoming Masks miniseries. Probably setting the stage for their return.
