Without a doubt one of the best Johnson covers in years!

Indeed, and it would also be the cost and hassle for me (no decent comicbook store anywhere near me). But being able to read the whole thing at once is indeed the main thing here. I am used to books mostly for the last few years (recently reintroduced to the world of comics). Monthly installments don't really work for me anymore I am afraid...

Dark Horse are just kinda weird. Sometimes it's quick, other times you're waiting almost a year.
I don't know why it takes the Mignolaverse books six months to go to the trade, but the quality of the trades is so high, I wouldn't want to see that sacrificed just to get the books out sooner.

Ahh I'm a little apprehensive that this being the last of the 'secret origins' trilogy means no more '1940's' stories. I was hoping they'd keep up this series till at least 1952 where Hellboy becomes a full time BPRD agent.

    But 1952 isn't in the 1940s ;)
