yeah. thats not happening brosef. although i do think there is a story to be told about mj and peter somehow remembering the deal they made and what would happen with them knowing, i don't think we are gonna get it any time soon. i mean mephisto won! he's the bad guy! they aren't supposed to win! anyway not trying to bring that stuff up but don't hold your breath for mj and peter to be married again in 700.
They should and could just get back together without ever addressing it.
Maybe one page where Mephisto is like, "Wait a minute, what the hell..." and one of his subordinates is like, "You realize you never said they couldn't fall in love with each other and get married again, right?" Before getting fried for his insolence.
Bad news everyone...
I jumped into Spider-Man at Big Time and have never really big reader before of Spidey, Slott is a phenomenal Spider-Man writer and i am well looking forward to this
Through ASm i am actually reading Venom and Scarlet Spider as well now![]()
The entire Spidey line is at the strongest point it's been in over a decade. Slott's killing it on ASM, Yost is killing it on Scarlet Spider, and Remender/Cullen are killing it (and everybody they can) in Venom.
I can't remember a point where the Spider-Man books have ever had so much success with other characters holding their own book.
Venom was mostly mini-series even at the height of his popularity, and those don't hold up as well IMO.
"I came to the conclusion that the optimist thought everything good except the pessimist, and the pessimist thought everything bad, except himself." -- G.K. Chesterton
Honestly I think they're building up several crossovers with the 3 characters. There's one character that's appeared in all three books I'd like to see revisted. Plus isn't there's some kind of symbiote war being hyped in Venom right now? (I haven't read anything past Circle of Four cause I only collect Trades/Hardcovers of Venom) With the two recent Carnage stories there's gotta be some kind of crossover being built up there.
Somebody mentioned Spider-Man killing either Green Goblin or Doc Ock. Honestly I don't think that's going to be the case for #700 since, as big of a character changing/defining moment that would be, it's not enough to send shockwaves throughout the Marvel U. Although honestly, if Spidey's gonna kill any villain I'd say it should be Kraven. Kraven can only be killed by "Spider-Man" and if he wants his ultimate victory, it would be to get Spider-Man to kill him since it would destroy everything that makes Spidey who he is.
Personally I think whatever issue #700 is, if it's meant to rock the foundation of the Marvel U (which I have been waiting so long to see coming from Spider-Man so here's hoping), it should involve Norman Osborn. Since Dark Reign he's done being Spider-Man's problem and started being the whole world's problem. Seeing how this is Slott's Big Time run, if you want Spidey to hit the big time in superheroism, bring in Norman Osborn, Goblin or not.
Slott, LEAVE THIS BOOK AND NEVER COME BACK (hoping this translates to stay on Spidey forever... no homo...)

Here's a fun thought for #700, bring Ben Reilly back as an Evil Clone xD
Haha evil clone, they haven't done that yet have they? I can't remember
Slott's entire run is really growing on me, even if I haven't seen the film. The new arc is especially spot on thus far, but I found the past ff section the arc I liked the least. I think Slott is really hitting his stride (second, third?;), character motivations of the characters and confidence. Looking forward to seeing what's next.
