The most cancelled X-Team in history are back?

Coming soon for some reason is an X book by Brian Bendis. Yaaaaaaaaay. It is the original five again!For some reason.

Originally they all got shipped to a mutant eating island so that a good writer could write things about a bunch of interesting characters. Once the dead weight was gone, the book soared.

Then there was x factor, which was an 05 reunited book called X factor, which people got bored of so very quickly, and the cast were quickly replaced by Mystique and Forge.

Not forgetting X-Men : The hidden years, in which past stories of the 05 were revealed! Bt barely anybody bought it, even in the nineties. Ouch.

And then X-Men : First class. which inexplicably featured Gorillas and angel people who rode dinosaurs. This was basically exactly the same book as The Hidden years, so once again nobody bought it enough for it to be viable.

Then people died because they were shrews, became avengers because they were traitors, and became apocalypse because they were inherently boring.

So, the question to Marvel, is : What? Why? Nobody cares. The days of whitebread momjeans are gone. The question to you, is are you going to read this? Do the 05 have anything left in them that isn't the most boring thing ever? Will this book be better than the books being culled so it can exist? Is this all TAS' fault?

1.-I think that reuniting again the original group would be a really bad idea.

2.-I don´t think that´s even possible..is that a parallel universe or something like that? Jean is alive, and Beast is furless.

3.-If they resurrect Jean only to have the five original X-men reunited and her back as Cyclop´s girlfriend, it will be the worst thing they could do to her.

4.-I see they have been pimping Jean to make her more "modern", "edgy" and "radical", or whatever they usually say when they change the costume of a character and make him/her act out of character because they are without ideas...I only could like this new Jean if she is AoA Jean, who has become a cyborg and crosses to Earth 616.

The pic is from New Excalibur (Thank you CTD), where a dark version of the X-Men were encountered. It's nothing to do with the new 05 book with Bendis. Unless Bendis decides it does.

Nope, not impressed with this idea. It failed miserably multiple times for a reason. If they want vintage X-men, bring in the team that bailed the original five out of the slump. The selling power of five white, suburban teens is next to nil, sorry.

As far as bringing Jean back as a kid, Nightcrawler fans can understand the lack of appeal in that editorial decision. At least your favourite character isn't pre-pubescent and wearing an ugly sweater.

It's also very telling that Bendis wants to use these iterations of the shitty 05 because they have NO backstory. god forbid he have to read a comic and know something about the characters he's writing. He claims to love older unused "70s" characters like Luke Cage and Spider-Woman, when the reality is he just doesn't want to read about any character who has history he may be able to play with.
