    Default Superman and Batman

Well, from Action comics, we've seen that Superman and Batman have been friends for over 5 years. It just got me thinking, won't it be a great idea if Superman learnt some martial arts from Batman over the years? Well, I think that will be awesome. (please, don't mind my bad English, and I couldn't come up with a much better title for this thread)

"World Of New Krypton" #3 hinted that Clark had learned some stuff from a friend, but it was unclear if it was Bruce or Val. Since the Legion continuity is still in play, he could learn anything from Karate Kid.

I prefer Superman having more brawling kind of fighting style than standard martial arts. Like Judo.

I prefer Superman learning how to fight by himself.

I like the idea that Clark has assimilated certain techniques by watching Batman and Wonder Woman in action, instead of directly asking them to teach him. Clark has an extraordinary brain and it wouldn't be difficult for him pick up whatever martial arts he may need by simply observing.

I think he can learn much much much more by observing Karate Kid.
    Rehire Grant Morrison for Superman.
    Give Lois her own BOOKS.
Keep Scott Lobdell in Superverse forever.

For sure, but he fights alongside Batman and Wonder Woman more often. And Val's actual super-power is martial arts, the way Cypher's is language, right? I assume he'd be harder to imitate.

I thought this thread was going to be about a Superman/Batman book.

I think that would be a great idea. That way we could get a 3rd New52 Superman title.
The book could showcase them teaming up in the early years and gradually work its way up through time, over time.

Would LOVE to see another World's Finest series starring Supes and Batman......but the title is occupied by two female heroes at this time.
The old Superman/Batman title SHOULD have been World's Finest....why it wasn't I have no idea.

Its called a superpower because he is so good at it. He learnt it the usual way like we would learn. So if he can imitate bats he can imitate KK.

Sorry man, I didn't know what to call the thread. I really hope they do this although DC may not want to create another title :(

Ah, I thought KK had some super-power-like ability to learn martial arts incredibly quickly or something. My mistake.

In the Silver Age he did take a few lessons from Bruce. He also knew Kryptonian Judo (or maybe it was Karate.) He taught it to Lois Lane and she was totally kickass.

To me, if it happened in the Silver Age it is written in stone.
Namor is King! Killraven too. Mantis is the greatest!

Shatterstar is gay. Deadpool is Bi.

Not in any decent decade. I see it has been included in the mythos though, after the 70s sometime. Back then it was Kryptonian Karate.
