Ultimate Comics X-Men #14 Preview

Damn this was good! If only there was a better artist on it, actually you know what, the writing was so good even Liefeld could have drawn this and it still would have been good. Brian Wood kicked off this event perfectly.

The writing was so good in this issue and it took longer then 2 mintues to read. I dint think the art is bad but overall just the faces need work becuase it's pretty much male face female face. Also Kitty, not a fan of her body shapes. Other then that I have no problems and this was a great start to this crossover.

My only question is how is Spider-man going to catch up to the other 2 books in one issue?

Man this was intense. Like Hitch level cinematic. There was a REALLY good pacing. It almost didn't feel like a super hero comic.

That scene where the guard feels Kitty up was SUPER intense. This anti-mutant militia scares the crap outta me already!

This may well be one of my favorite X-titles right and it's only two issues in! Way to go Wood. No longer does this title have to stand solely on the legs of my love for the Ultimate Verse :).

Hey all, just to clarify the Purge/Mach Two thing:

Way back when I wrote these I gave her the Purge codename. Soon after, I changed it to Mach Two, but the old lettering got used for #14 and we all missed it at proofreading stage. It'll be fixed for the trade, and Mach Two will be what is used from now on.

Ah, I never would have even thought about that. But I supposed that's why I'm not paid to do these things.
