Thankfully there's Legion Lost where they actually have the cool legionnaires.
So the fact that Harmonica, Sun Boy, Comet Queen, Dragonwing, Chameleon Boy and Elemental Lad have all been major parts of the story since the launch of the new 52 has escaped your sights? Odd seeing as how when you open up the comic and read it they're all there doing stuff......hmmmmm.

    Here:

There really isn't room to do all the "begats" and so forth and get much of an adventure going, so we concentrated on the pieces that had the most direct link to the past, but also some things that have a very direct link to where "Legion" is going over the course of the next year. We've been starting to build this whole set of threads around the idea that the Fatal Five is being reformed. In the New DC logic, the Legion hasn't met the Fatal Five -- there apparently was one in the cosmos, and it's coming back together or it's in danger of coming back together. There's links to that, and in that fashion, it becomes an important bridge to what is going on over the next year as we do a major arc about the new Fatal Five. I'm going to have the great fun of working with Keith [Giffen] on that -- he'll be stepping back in to do a six-issue run to tell that story.
I was kinda bummed reading that because I was under the impression that Legion was left 'mostly' unchanged in NuDC.

So it's confirmed that Kolins is only on for three issues? That's good.

Nothing against the guy but I much prefer Portela's artwork, and would strongly think about dropping the title if Kolins replaced him.

WTF???? What do you mean they haven't met the Fatal Five??? So no Sun Eater? No death of Ferro Lad? How do you explain the recent battle Vi & Ayla had with the Emerald Eye?
This may be the tipping point for me....

    Yessssssssssss!

(Though I've always thought Ultra-Boy/Night Girl would make for a good 'Worlds' Finest' set up too)

lol if you can't handle another change to legion history, whatever did you do with 1)post crisis changes, 2)glorithverse changes, 3)the reboot? 4)3rd boot, 5)Geoff John's retcons and the early 6)paul levitz retcons of Geoff John's retcons?

That's why i said that the legion since Paul decided to write them again from LSH 1 volume 5 has been all post flashpoint. expect new histories...since a lot of Post Infintie Crisis stuff got deleted...the major part of Lightning Saga could not have happened the way it did if it did...then there's that whole thing with New Krypton...and Supergirl joining the legion...This Post Flashpoint Supergirl may but she wont be anything like the other one had.

I can handle it, certainly, since it's by Paul Levitz (just as I can handle the new versions of Huntress and Power Girl under his pen), but it's still sad to me that after getting back all that wonderful Legion history it's been snatched away again because of that stupid reboot.

I'm really enjoying Worlds' Finest, if only because of the friendship and history between Huntress and Power Girl. What brings it down a notch in my eyes is the dreadfully boring villain this arc has.

I think/hope he means that the Legion hasn't met the 5 at the point of the story they're telling in the 0 issue.
If not, then the whole Ferro Lad story needs to be re-worked!

I do hope that's the case.
When Legion was relaunched in 2010, Levitz had confirmed that everything up until the end of the Magic War was still canon (with a few changes due to Supergirl and Superboy).

And the New52 series continues from the previous series...

I guess we'll find out in October.

BTW... To add MORE confusion to the mix... could someone tell me the New52 history of Earth-Man and his joining the Legion? Is it still the same? I dropped Legion with New52 (mostly cause all my fave members went to Legion Lost) but was considering picking it back up.

I'm under the impression that when Levitz started the 2010 run, he knew about Flashpoint as an event (as per the characters mentioning it in #1) but did not know what the end result (the New52 universe) was.

Not liking this one bit. We have to know what stories happened and what didn't. So Validus is apparently NOT the son of Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. I'm guessingnow that the Great Darkness Saga didn't happen at all. What about Earthwar? Magic Wars? Why is there a statue of Kid Psycho in the Hall of Heroes? How did Gates join the Legion? Does XS even exist anymore? What about Earth-Man? The list goes on, and we really sorta need to know the answers...
I've got a plan and it's here in my hand, a baton made of light.

I'll have to go back and check but I'm pretty sure in the comics (post new 52) they mention the fatal five. So either he's referring to issue 0 or he's talking about the new fatal five.

The New 52 LoSH, which I always thought was a direct continuation of the classic Legion have NEVER met the Fatal Five?! What about the boatload of stories that came before? - it's all a little tragic.
Check out my take on the Legion here . . .
