Default After Azzarello and Chiang who should be the new creative team for Wonder Woman?

So after Azzarello and Chiang inevitably, maybe in a few months, maybe years leave the Wonder Woman title, who would you like to see take over as the new creative team? Right now from the interviews it doesn't seem like Azzarello will be staying on very long for the title, since he has stated that he wants to write a very specific story and then he will leave the comic.

Personally I think it would be fantastic if Gail Simone and Nicola Scott became the new writer and artist. Gail Simone obviously couldn't complete all her interesting plots that she developed, so I think she should be given a second chance at the title. She always wrote Diana with a complex, nuanced characterisation so that Wonder Woman never lost sight of her humanity and was still one of the most powerful beings on the planet.

    Chuck Austen and Greg Land.
    A match made in Olympus.
Jean Grey : What makes you such a bitch, Emma?
Emma Frost : Breeding, darling. Top class breeding.

    Writers:

    Kurt Busiek
William Messner-Loebs could use another shot. So could Simone.
    Geoff Johns, take a chance
    Paul Dini
Grant Morrison, if kept on a short leash

    Artists:

    Nicola Scott
    Dale Eaglesham
    Aaron Lopresti
    Bryan Hitch
    Rob Phipps
Superhero comic books only become art to the extent that their banal, unrealistic fantasy and garish styles go too far and become interesting. Attempts to ground them in reality can only ruin them.

Some writer who can continue in Azzarello's footsteps and fix all his flaws, like the slow pace. I dont know who that could be.
As for the art, i'd get Frazer Irving. He would be a great artist to replace Chiang and keep this kind of atmosphere.

Oh and Steve is right. I too would give Johns a chance. Give him a good artist and set him loose. I'm sure he'll do wonders for the franchise, even if the stories themselves end up being average.

There's no way in hell DC is going to have Simone revisit subplots that are intended to be left behind now with the relaunch.

Grant Morrison (given free reign, naturally, what's the point of getting Morrison otherwise?) and WW veteran Phil Jimenez. A shame those two haven't worked together more often after The Invisibles and New X-Men.

    Or perhaps Darwyn Cooke, solo.

'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

Aaaaand yet another version of WW's bling, this time by Reis and Prado. Because it's really hard to decide on one design and ask your artists to stick with it. FFS!

William Messner-Loebs might be cool to read again

a big NO to the Greg Land suggestion... he ruined X-Men for me (he's ok for covers though)

I wish they could snatch up Deodato again... his newer style would look pretty cool on WW

Darwyn Cooke is a good idea. I would like Morrison but that would mean he leaves Superman and i don't want that.

Grant Morrison will never be kept on a leash. Also i think Brian Wood would fit, if you want a mix between Azzarello's Wonder Woman and Classic Wonder woman.

I sincerely hope we won't have to find out any time soon.

That said, some viable candidates would be...

    Darwyn Cooke
Scott Snyder (who has expressed interest)
Grant Morrison (who has expressed interest)
    John Rozum
    Peter Milligan
    Jason Aaron
    and Kieron Gillen

Paul Cornell or Scott Snyder spring immediately to mind for writers. I would really love to see a Scott Snyder written Wonder Woman! I wouldn't mind a run by Geoff either, but for that to happen, he would have to give up one of his other books and highly doubt it would be GL which is the only book by him I dont read.

As for art, Nicola is always welcome, but I dont want her to leave Earth 2.
Robson Rocha might be good as well.

Names I've seen and liked I'd pair up Scott Snyder and Ivan Reis.
