And the others have it as a result of the Mark they bear. (Those that actually are the biblical Cain and whose writers wrote it in, that is.)
Basically, I see it as no different from, say, D&D priests getting their powers from their respective deities. The thing is powered by someone else, but it's part of Cain/Caine/whatever's powerset.
Suffering is a fact of life. You survive if you find a reason to endure it.

Next Dimension's Gemini Saint is called Cain (and Abel but that part hasn't been fully explained).
By presentation, he seems to be every bit Saga's equal, whose weaker brother could kamikaze himself to destroy multiple planets.
Feat wise, he is utterly blitzing a guy who passed light speed in the prequel and generally beating up everyone that shows up in front of him.
Wouldn't really know. Cain technically should have some psychic ability, but he hasn't shown any yet, and no feats no glory.
Thanatos had some pretty cool cosmic awareness thing going on, but Thanatos' entire point was showing that even a demi god was still laughably above even the strongest Saints.

The aforementioned Tenchi Muyo Kain has time traveling and the ability to survive a direct hit with a weapon that can allegedly wipe out a small galaxy, IIRC.
