Alot of faces getting damaged in Batman comics.

I am not referring to punches or kicks or anything like that. I am talking about faces getting eaten,removed,worn by other people ect.
Just on an issue of Detective comics now where The Joker has had his face removed...

So I started off on Batman and Robin (with Dick and Damian) and even in there there was faces getting cut off or sewn on.

Faces and identity is the major theme in Batman and Robin. Here, it just looks like shock value.

That's what I was thinking. The shock kinda worse off after a while. Then again I guess there are so many things one can do to person's body. Not that I am an expert! D:
