I can see this happening. That and Amazing goes back to being monthly but with it double shipping a few times. So in a year instead of getting 24 issues you get 18.

I can see him going missing. As for how or why he goes missing well Green Goblin is in a coma right now but he could easily come out of it in time to kidnap him as it were.

I don't see a real reason to renumber it...I mean 700 isn't a major milestone or anything. If they do renumber it, it'll be for a little while and then they'll change it back before the next big event.

When most comics are lucky to get out of the single digits before their runs are cancelled, #700 is absolutely a milestone.

As for an all-but-certain confirmation that ASM will go to a new #1 after #700, from this week's Axel-In-Charge:

Sounds like he's talking about Spidey to me. The good news, of course, is that it sounds like Slott isn't going anywhere.

I think that Galina Tsarfin would have made for an interesting sidekick as the new Spider-Girl alongside Spider-Man x Black Widow respectively.

ROFL. Knowing Marvel, they will probably restart the original numbers after a few years. By that time, ASM would be near 1000, so we will probably get that 1000 issue.

One or two for Spider-Man. And unlike the others, Galina would certainly have her own story and identity as well as a connection between The Black Widow and Spider-Man. I could see her doing very well in the mainstream MU in as much as Mayday Parker would have.
