    Seems interesting

I saw some CHEW trades at my local book store and was almost going to buy one. Is it good?

Yeah. Detective, Catwoman, Batwing, Detective again...

Anyways, haven't read Chew, so I can't comment on Layman. If anything, I'm happy that they just brought in someone who will have a fresh take on Batman. Glad Fabok finally got a steady job.

I also hope we find out what the Back up will be.

When I go to the LCS today, I'm going to take a peek at some Chew books, to see what Layman is all about.

Although I'm not sure if Layman will fit Batman well, he is a very capable writer, moreso than Daniels. Chew's very entertaining.

Chew is funny as hell and Rob Gillory is amazing. They make an amazing team on Chew.
Layman has written a bunch of other stuff as well.

I'm really looking forward to this.

I only read Chew #1 and didn't really enjoy it. But I'll give this a shot, anything's an improvement from TSD.

I'll honestly be curious to see if it works.

On the one hand, there is an intricacy in Chew that could very well lend itself to a Detective run.

On the other hand, it's more fun and silly than anything else, and I question whether he'll be able to set scenes with tension, or explore interesting philosophies or eve create human, rather than hilarious, characters.

    I'll check it out though!

Amen. Whoever haven't read Chew yet, they SHOULD. It is plain AWESOME.

I am not buying Detective Comics at the moment, but will be first in queue when #13 comes out!
