Fantastic issue. I was hoping it would lead into DWF or we would see May but I've been thinking she'll probably show up in DWF anyway. What a great resolution to this arc. I don't think Aaron is dead though, probably just on the back burner for a while. I wonder what happened with Miles' dad though...

I seriously doubt they are going to have Miles kill someone even accidentally, especially his uncle. I think Uncle Aaron will be in critical condition for a little while. Maybe this will lead to him being more careful with his venom blast. Although the way it shorts out machinery may come in handy if Miles faces off against the sentinels. Also Ganke needs a muzzle. Miles' secret is going to be leaked because of him. Though the hot mom comment was hilarious.

I can't wait for the next issue, but it seems like they have a lot to cram into it. They have to transition out of this story int DWF and Miles meeting Cap plus the May and Gwen story thread.

That blast blew off some of Miles costume and Aaron was at the epicenter either way I think he lost an arm. But most likely he is dead and next issue Miles will learn Uncle Aarons past and how much he was abused by his father.

Awesome issue! Too bad the Aunt May thing wasn't addressed. It's looking more and more like Miles gets his web shooters from 616 Peter Parker. Also, it's about time we see Miles with the classic "Shredded Mask" Spidey look

I don't think the venom blast had anything to do with his gauntlet exploding. Earlier when Miles kicked Aaron he smashed it on a wall and it started shorting out. Aaron was just dumb enough to use it despite the fact that it was obviously broken and malfunctioning. A mistake that seemingly cost him his life.

Yah but Miles will think for the rest of his life that he caused his death by using the venom blast because it was the last thing that he did. whether or not it was the cause of the explosion.

Wonder how he's gonna get his costume fixed every time it gets shredded. *Imagines Fury with a sewing kit fixing it.* Damn you Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon for making that mental image too easy.

I think there's more future story potential if Aaron survives but Aaron dying has more dramatic punch. Wait till next issue. I'm fine either way, fantastic read through and through.

The Issues always seem so short! It gets me sucked in then bam over, only complamt it no web shooters yet!!!! Bendis get on the ball man, it's not Spidey without the webs! Glad we get issue 3 of spiderman to hold me off next week.

Finally! This is the Ultimate Spider-man I fell in love with years ago. The issue balances action, plot, and talkiness, and none of the scenes felt like they took up too much space. The only issue I had was a slight amount of Bendis-speak, but it wasn't too bad. The fighting was great, the story finally moved forward in a more interesting way, and Miles is showing a lot more character than he was before.

The art wasn't as good as it has been, though. Marquez slipped a bit here. The action was great, but the slower scenes weren't as solid. Nothing was bad by any means, but it wasn't my favorite. With Pichelli killing it on Spider-men, Marquez really needs to step up his game if he plans on keeping up. He's a solid artist now, and I hope he gets even better.

I don't think Aaron is dead, though. Not only would that be too quick, we still don't know what that box was. There's a lot more to be seen from Prowler.

Favorite part: Ganke openly thinks Ms Morales is hot!

On the pessimistic side, I worry about how this will transition into DWF. The other books are ready to go at a moments notice, but this one isn't close. At this point, I think I'd rather it just start with "2 weeks later," so there wouldn't be any need to take us from point A to point B. Basically, I just hope that this book doesn't lose its new stride because of a weak tie-in to the crossover.

Such an awesome issue! I kept laughing at the woman who kept saying that she was "happy he wasnt really dead". OP mentioned foreshadowing, but its not, its just people not believing peter was dead haha. Really happy with this issue can't wait for the next!

But that doesn't make any sense because The Ultimates are being chased and Fury is AWOL. Miles meets Cap next issue so maybe they meet and try to break into the Trasklion. Cap so that he can get the other Ultimates and Miles to get his costume. that makes more sense.
