Tell that to the people sitting next to me when I watched it in a sold out theatre on Monday.

Or my friends who saw it in Detroit on Monday.

I'm sure those weren't the only sneaky places out there.

I can't decide whether or not to watch this movie in the cinema. It looks pretty good, but the reviews have been mediocre at best. I might wait until it comes out on a movie streaming site. Save my money and put it towards Batman.

If the Disney lawyers get involved it may happen eventually.

It looks like this movie franchise is doing too well for the rights to revert back anytime soon. I think that Marvel sold the Spider-Man film rights for very little and now the film series is going to pass 3 billion when the Amazing Spider-Man finishes it's run. It doesn't seem fair that Sony can have full film rights to the character forever if the deal was so one-sided. I guess there is nothing Marvel/Disney can do to get the character back unless they make some sort of deal to use the character in crossovers, which the producers have hinted at.

When Disney buys Sony, or vice-versa.
Batman: What are you doing here Deadman?
Deadman: We've only met when I was an invisible ghost talking through other people. How did you know it was me?
    Batman: I'm Batman.
    Deadman: Touché.

Most of the negative reviews are extremely critical of it because it's a reboot. If you can accept the fact that this is a new Spider-Man story, it's a damn good movie. I personally loved it and will see it at least one more time. I'd recommend you see it with an open mind.

Also, Sony/Columbia Pictures may be in financial trouble...so it might not take too long for Marvel to get the rights back.

Nah, Parker's a cocky jerk in this, that has nothing to do with the reboot.

Actually many negative reviews prove that stand alone movie is good because main complain is itself fact of the reboot.

A certain amount of time has to pass without Sony making a Spider-Man movie.

I think it's rather hard to prove anything that centers around opinion, but my feeling towards the movie doesn't have a lot to do with the first three (of which I only enjoyed the first and third anyway), rather, with the plot of the movie itself.

That's the equivalent of staying home and jerking off instead of going out on a date because you don't want to spend any money.
