Well, I definitely don't think it's okay to hit a kid just because he was around, you can feel free to disagree.

Hawkeye had it coming, knowing full well what Phoenix Emma can do and he still went ahead and shoot her in the head and after she fell, he continued kicking her. he had it coming, you don't mess with a bitch.

Not just Magneto, which Cyclops may even expect, but I think the nail in the coffin will be when Charles turns on him and the other P5 members.

He'll have to have some sort of 'but I was just doing what I thought was right, what we all wanted' melt down before the end, and that'll likely be it.

Although with Magneto now an X-ally, I still say the better end to this event would have been Cyclops turning full heel and taking Magneto's former place as the main X enemy with personal links to the team.

I wonder if they're ever going to address why Mags said they needed Wanderp at the very start of this.
    Bad news everyone...

Okay this back and forth is getting old. The characters are on opposing sides. Its practically a War at this point. Is it that hard to understand why these characters did what they did I have no problems understanding it. I was more shocked Emma felt the need to explain herself. She is practically omnipotent.

to paraphrase from Nick Fury and Loki

Hawkeye: We have no quarrel with your people.
Emma: An ant has no quarrel with a boot.

Yeah, Cyclops clearly showed that they were losing it, what with all his "let's not kill people" talk. Yep. Sounds good.

    Interesting point.

The irony being, of course, that his devotion to the race over his family led his family to destroy the race. Something very Shakespearean about that.

sure ignore the other 4 just because one guy is more "lets just lock them up for flimsy reasons" rather then "their ants, phoenix squash!"

well its pretty obvious to the majority of readers the X-men would go to far. Marvel does this with most reoccurring characters with this level of power. One ultimately abuse iall that power because it sumply becomes too much. Thats how Marvel always handles storries. With great power comes great responsibility.

So if you give a character that much power regularly he's going to be relegated to Limbo a lot of the times or soemthing akin to the Odin sleep. Or he or she will become a villain that will ultimately be depowered or killed.

Each side has their own motivations. And I'd say their isn't a clear right or wrong in regard to each characters viewpoints.

However from a readers perspective, most would lean towards the Avengers. Since marvel seems to be close to establishing the Pheonix 5 as the all powerful overlords.

No, no. You're totally right. Cyclops was just plain insane in this issue. Totally.
