Yes I would say all of those would be above any bar that Black Cat could be measured by. Leave her in Faction's Defenders. They deserve each other.

which is all besides the point. i was disqualifying Black Cat she's proud of her own thievery. it seems like a compulsion with her. all you've done is throw out a bunch of names of people the Avengers have been burned by. how did making Ares an Avenger turn out?

Marc was a paid murderer and violent as a lifestyle choice. he beat up his father for trying to point it out. i'm not saying he's irredeemable. but i think he blew the opportunity that Steve Rogers gave him. and i think it has everything to do with his nature; mental illness aside. you don't kill people professionally and not turn out a little loopy.

I like a lot of the suggestions -- but I hope Hickman uses his Avengers run to explore some of his SHIELD themes -- and also have Da Vinci, Newton and Michelangelo appear in Avengers. That'd be awesome.

Exactly. The Avengers have made bad choices in the past (especially during Bendis everything goes run), and I don't think Iron Man and Quicksilver are any of them, that doesn't justify them making more. Two wrongs don't make a right. Love Black Cat, but the reasons I love the character are exactly why she wouldn't fit in the Avengers. People really need to get over this mentality that everyone can be an Avenger. Sometimes being on a team like Avengers will actually ruin what made the character unique to begin with. IMHO, Black Cat doesn't belong in Avengers (now, H4H is another story). I wouldn't want Catwoman to be in the JLA either.

Yes, that is all true about Marc. I think he'd be a good wild card for the team though, because he's so unpredictable, yet he has this strange sense of morality. I bet Hickman could write the heck out of him and cast this bit of last Avengers nonsense out of him too... (please...please...please.)
