Hickman's EIGHTEEN Avengers?

I would say those books may not have been the best interpretations of the Panther to serve as an introduction (although I never had a problem with the FF...never really liked the Surfer and was happy to see him get taken down by Panther). I believe the trades are out of print right now, but I'd see about finding back issues of Christopher Priest's Black Panther series from the late 90s(?)...arguably the best interpretation of the character to date. Avoid the Reggie Hudland stuff like the plague. And more recently, his appearances in Fraction's Defenders and (especially) Hickman's Fantastic Four have been pretty great.

Thanks :) I dropped Hickman's Fantastic Four as it did not make a whole lot of sense to me (I think the Immortals issues killed any momentum for me), but otherwise have really liked his work. I'll look for the Priest issues. Thanks!

how low are we setting the bar? she's an unapologetic thief. i'd say that there's a long line of actual heroes who qualify ahead of her.

I want cloud nine! She's young and new and hasn't had her origin done dissected to death yet. Also her costume is awesome.

I would like to see this as well but she seems like it would be too many rules for to comply with. Then again, she could bring some rulebreaking into the mix.

What Bar? Ares, Stark, Quicksilver and Moon Knight are or have been Avengers so the bar is already laying on the floor.

Eh, is Moon Knight really as bad as the other two? He's really just a guy who's never gotten the help he really needs.

A founder
3rd recruit 40 years ago
a 10 month reserve appearance 20 years ago with a few months of SA thrown in.

Yes I would say all of those would be above any bar that Black Cat could be measured by. Leave her in Faction's Defenders. They deserve each other.
