This is what always happens when people start beating the "diversity" drum. It turns into bean-counting and tokenism to satisfy some artificial sense of "representation". And then we get BS like retiring Nick Fury even more to make room for Black Fury (because God knows the readers aren't smart enough to understand that 616 is not the movie-verse)...

Default Iceman And Beast In The Marvel Now! Relaunch

This Marvel Now! thing is X-fans' big chance to see Iceman become an Avenger. And maybe Marvel will reboot Beast so he won't look like a cat anymore, I just want the old blue furred Beast back.

I don't really think Nick Fury Jr. was a mandate for diversity sake.
Support titles that need supporting. Quit buying, reading and complaining about comics you don't enjoy.

I don't think it's the rgular comic book readers Marvel is concerned about.

It may be more for the non-comic book reading movie goer who decides to try a comic book after seeing the movie.
Marvel probably doesn't want to confuse them into thinking "Why isn't the comic book more like the movie I enjoyed?"

Seeing Black Panther and Storm in a book together somewhere might be cool... maybe in an Avengers book. Unless they get a divource or something.

I'd also like to see Nova show up again. Rich specifically (if that's not him who showed up in AvX).

I really don't have any opinions on Marvel NOW atm more than I have concerns. One of my biggest concerns is will I have any books to read once all the creative shifts settle in.

Characters I'd like to see in the NuMU are Cable and (a good rendition of) Moon Knight mostly.

The announcement of rollouts can't come soon enough. I'm dyin' over here.
New Avengers, Morbius The Living Vampire, Scarlet Spider, Iron Man, Fearless Defenders, Fantastic Four, Deadpool Killogy, Savage Wolverine, Wolverine, Uncanny X-Men & X-Force, Cable & X-Force, Gambit

I would like to know what is happening with the Hulk family. We know Betty is going solo, who is taking over the Incredible Hulk. The rumour of the Red Hulk team book to be confirmed. Will She-Hulk have a home in one of the new books.

More female solo books...and a female team book too!
Take the top ladies from each franchise - Captain Marvel, Storm, Invisible Woman, Jean Grey, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk (Jen)....give 'em a cause...hire a good writer and spectacular artist and watch it sell!

But since this is Marvel, I'm sure they'd find some way to screw it up.

Give the female Captain Marvel book a chance first. If that does decently, maybe they can expand from there.

Someone asked why there aren't more female-led titles at the "Women of Marvel" panel. The responses ranged from "We don't want to release titles just for the sake of it." to "There are definitely female-led titles outside of Marvel."

I am not too impressed with the makeover as of yet. I will keep an open mind. Sticking with The Avengers, love J. Hickman, and the artist is great too! I don't want to like the idea of Bendis' "All-New X-Men" but the art is going to be good. Remender's "Uncanny Avengers" is a cool idea but I don't know about Cassaday's art. I may even take this opportunity to stop buying so many comics. But until October comes around I can't really say what I will do.

    1. I expected to hear more about Marvel NOW at Comicon. I was surprised that Marvel didn't talk more about this.

    2. I hope that one or two of the current Avengers books are cancelled to make way for the new ones being introduced. If I'm correct, there will be Uncanny Avengers, Avengers, New Avengers, Secret Avengers, Avengers Assemble and Dark Avengers; not to mention A+X.

That will be too much Avengers related material.
