Sounds good. I hope the Roy thing doesn't just add more questions than it answers, though.
Also, it's a challenge to my suspension of disbelief that not only does Ollie learn to use the bow on the island, he's not even a natural at it. As much as we like to say "Oh, anybody could be Batman if they put their mind to it" the adult in me knows that some people are good at some things and other people aren't, and all the training in the world isn't going to make a difference if you're not. So I tend to imagine that somebody like Ollie always had the potential, he just wouldn't have known it if he hadn't been forced to figure it out. That's the difference between using a bow to kill food to survive vs. feeling confident enough in it to go out in the world and use it to fight crime.
I'm excited for this story but I hope that this does'nt mean that Nocenti is off the title, I want stability dammit!
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
No thanks.
Loathed Winick's run on the original Ollie and don't like NuOllie, so I'll skip this, as I've skipped the majority of the NuOllie run.
But Arrow is looming ever closer so I'm looking forward to that.
Wake me up when it's over...
kind of hope he stays on the book. Would love to see him reintroduce Mia. If anyone would do it, it would be him.
This will be interesting. I kind of feel as though the Jock/Diggle Green Arrow Year One nailed Ollie's origin. I guess we need another one for the Nu52.
Batman, GL, Miss Fury, Uncanny X-Men, Hypernaturals, Witch Doctor, Casanova, Green Arrow, COPRA. +A bunch of trades every month.
Winnick's Green Arrow wasn't badly written, but I'm really sick of the douchebag hypocrite Ollie. I won't single him out since he's not the only one. I guess we'll see how this one is handled. Nocienti's run was a little messy in the three issue opening arc, but it's been an enjoyable run. I'm hoping it will get progressively better.
And yeah I do think Year One was the right direction to go, and it looks like the Arrow show will follow that. In a perfect world, this issue will just compliment and not replace Year One.
I am looking forward to this, but the whole aspect of Ollie being terrible with he bow seems uneccesary. Hopefully it is for good story reasons and not just for a couple of forced laughs
Okay, so then...
- Nocenti & Tolibao are still on this book
- Benes is the new Batgirl artist
- Hurwitz is only writing the #0 issue of Detective (but Daniel is leaving anyway)
- That Molenaar guy is supposedly the new Birds of Prey artist
That's at least four of the #0 issues sorted out as far as continuing creative teams go. Anyone heard confirmation of any others?
I will not support in any way, shape or manner DC's continued elimination of one of my favorite character families. The only way I'll ever buy a Green Arrow title again is if it features an older Ollie who's a patriarch of Roy, Connor and Mia. I'm not interested in a generic archer character.
DC already put out an article that said some of the creative team changes for the third wave in September weren't permanent and just for that month, but for God knows whatever reason, the article's disappeared from the face of the internet and earth. So nobody should be thinking Judd Winick is taking over writing Green Arrow. I just hope he doesn't leave Catwoman. I just started reading comics and everything keeps changing and I keep having to adjust with creative team changes, cancellations and rumors of all the such topics. I'm so glad I started reading comic books. LOL Can anyone else tell me where this article might have been or where it is/might be now???

Sometimes I get the feeling I'm the only person who enjoyed Winnick's run on Green Arrow. Come to think of it it seems like no one is overly find of his work, but I've yet to be as disappointed by his writing. He may not be as good as Alan Moore or Denny O'Neill, but he's good fun and either writer is good news to me.
Am I also the only fan of Ollie who hates Grell's run?
