Did Aunt May have/lose a child

I remember a comment made by May in ASM,around #250,during the Stern run,I believe,(sorry my memory is bad),and she said something,I think to Nate Lubunsky,about "youve never lost a child",in response to why she always worried about peter,which led letter writers to speculate that May had or lost a child.

Can anyone remember if that plot was ever brought back up?

It was kinda cryptic,but i clearly remember it being brought up in the letters page.

Any help is appreciated.

I think I remember somewhere that she had a miscarriage, but I could be confusing this with Ultimate Aunt May or even some version of DC's Martha Kent. I know for sure that post COIE Martha had a couple of miscarriages and a stillbirth before finding baby Kal-El, but that doesn't mean that Aunt May didn't also lose a baby.

In one of the issues of Amazing Spider-Man Family confirms that May had a miscarriege child.
