Recommend Me Some Horror Novels

Something that can really chill the bones, make my hair stand up straight. Havent read a horror novel for a long time, and not much scared me. So if there is one, Id really appreciate it.

Thanks guys. I dont mind humor as long as its not mixed during the tense parts. I want terror/horror. Like when I felt watching the Ring/Ju On or the Strangers for the first time. Not Drag Me to Hell type.

Summer of Night by Dan Simmons

Its in many ways like It by Stephen King only not as long and without a scene near the end that will make you cringe because its so disturbing in a non-terror way.

Its about a group of kids in the 1960's who discover something is haunting their town . . much like It. They band together to to fight the evil.
