I thought the movie was good but I thought 21 Jump Street was funnier.

And yes this movie was a lot like live action Family Guy, but with less cutaways. There's even a Stewie vocal cameo.

And Spider-man bombing is highly unlikely. It won't do as well as previous films but it won't bomb. Examples of blockbusters that bombed recently would be John Carter and Green Lantern.

It's just like if Matt Groening came out with a comedy movie I'd want it to be funny yes, but I wouldn't necessarily want it to have Simpsons-like humor because I've seen that before.
What I mean is I'd like his films to be funny yet clever and that his characters, while douchebags, have qualities that makes them likeable. Not like the later season where the characters are douchebags with no redeeming qualities at all

Its tracking for a big opening (though a weird 6 day opening since it opens Tuesday) and won't bomb at least on opening week. Since RT has been kind so far word of mouth should be good so this will probably take MIB3's spot as 2nd best domestic BO of the summer (so far obviously). I don't know how it's tracking overseas or how much it cost but it doesn't seem to be a bust by any means.

Also how much did Ted cost? Does this need to make 60 mil total to be a success or 100+mil or what?

    Saw this movie last night.

It was hilarious. There were so many times when a line was delivered and it was so funny, that the conversation afterwards were drowned out. The movie had everything. Comedy, action, heart, magic, and most important of all, nudity!

Spider-Man is practically shoe-in to make a crap load of money. I may be putting my foot in my mouth, but I actually believe that globally, Spider-Man actually is the most popular superhero, so even if it doesn't meet expectations domestically (which it should easily make 200+ mil), globally it will do perfectly fine.

A post from Bleeding Cool has it tracking very well internationally.
