To be fair Lewis was a good NFL player who fucked up off the field 2-3 seaons in then . He managed to realize where things was wrong early in his career and he had a great career after it.

Its not like To'e won't be drafted. No way....the guy is already a 1st rd pick. Its just how much of its real could impact how high he goes. Before this was a top 3-5 pick due to his leadership abilities. Now he's dropped to #8. He could likely drop more...maybe down to mid-round.

I don't know if he's dropped because of that. There isn't a lot of consensus about the top players in this draft, but I'd heard him described as top 10, maybe better. The Bama game probably hurt him draft-wise more than this will.

he plays for Notre Dame - an openly Catholic university which prides itself on integrity and player character and all of those talking points parents love

yes there are plenty of people currently playing that have had issues in the past, but the backlash is becoming more severe because of the 24 hr news cycle

and now a lot of the media look like fools because they bought this story hook, line, and sinker and are now trying to save face

Some things are forgiving in my book but murder or association with murder is not. The dude was old enough to know right from wrong and what bad apples not to hang out with.

He does not deserve the commentary job offers that he will get after he retires.
