It doesn't really matter whether Notre Dame is a bunch of frauds. The whole sport of college football is fraudulent, overrated, and borderline psychotic.

Exactly....hell in reading about Alabama they have been "over signing" kids and its not the 1st time its came up about it . Also they push kids out pretty quick (be it for minor flaps like late to practice and all) and try to not make the school look bad when they do.

In all its not like Alabama isn't working the system . I'm sure in a few years an investigation may uncover even more things.

    Wall Street Journal transfer concerns
On November 25, 2010, the Wall Street Journal reported that several former Alabama players claim Saban and Alabama lied about their reasons for leaving the school.[40] On August 5, 2009, in a press conference Saban made a reference to four players Price Hall, Brandon Fanney, Alonzo Lawrence and Jermaine Preyear. "These guys all did something. It doesn't make them bad people.…These guys didn't do what they were supposed to do here, whether it was for academic reasons or whatever. They're not going to be part of the program."[41] The players told The Wall Street Journal they committed no such violations and that Alabama and Saban had only claimed as much so as to protect the image of their program in the eyes of future recruits.
Prince Hall, a starter and All-American as freshman, had been suspended for the 3rd time during the Spring according to published reports, the last being categorized as indefinite. Brandon Fanney, a 14 game starter from the previous season, had been suspended for rules violations during the Spring.[42]
Preyear, who decided to transfer six months after enrolling during the Spring, said he chose to leave over concerns about playing time. "I don't know any rules I could have broken."
Alonzo Lawrence reasons for transfer were unclear, but according to his high school coach, his trouble at Alabama "wasn't anything major," and tied it to things like being late to team meetings. Lawrence transferred to Southern Miss before moving on to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.[43][44]
Sure right now Alabama has zero violations ...but lets give it a few more years and see what happens.

Alabama is not the problem. The problem is the whole system. It encourages child rape, dishonesty, slave labor, and serious injury.

Not to mention boring bowl games that no one should give a shit about. Every bowl game I tried to watch this year was painfully insipid.

Will the four-team playoff make much of a difference?

agreed mostly...hell Notre Dame has a player on the field who was accused of sexual assault, and the victim was so harassed she committed suicide earlier this year

a playoff will quell some harsh criticism about the BCS and NCAA as it comes to what team is really the national champion

I have said they should expand it to 8 teams...and drop some shitty bowls. Does anyone car about the Motorcade Bowl or whatever those loser bowls are ? I don't. I'd keep the bracket and keep the playoff format to feature the key Bowls people will know. Then have at the end where the 2 Big Bowls be represented and they play for the National Championship...(which honestly I don't know the names...given there is a shitload of Bowl games now and name changes)

    True.

Sadly, none of the money goes directly to the pockets of the players (out in the open, anyway). It's all bullshit, and some people glorify the unpaid athlete because they themselves are envious of rich professional athletes.

Best part of the game was Brent drooling over Miss Alabama.

So, who's the early favorite to win the 2013-2014 title? And which conference will have the most representatives in the 4 team playoff system? I know alot of people are already thinking of a rematch from this year but I thinmk a dark horse team is going to have a shot, maybe Texas A&M or possibly Stanford. I think the SEC is going to have two teams in the playoffs or possibly the PAC-12.

    My early prediction:
    Stanford
    Texas
    Alabama
    Texas A&M

Oregon or Ohio State could swap out with anyone of those teams.

I don't think that Texas A&M or Stanford would be dark horse candidates considering how they finished up and that both return their QBs (although Texas A&M will be missing its studs on the OL). Texas probably would be.

Even with Johnny football, it's going to be harder for A&M to have the success this year they had last. They've lost their OC and some good O-linemen. Both divisions in the SEC are going to be better with each ot the top three teams returning starting QBs. A&M's defense is going to have to hold up if they are going to have a repeat performance. I love the job that Stanford is doing but the Pac-12 like the SEC is going to be better overall with UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State and Washington having good players returning. I think both A&M and Stanford may stumble early and have to have some help but I think they'll make it.
