As Winslow pointed out, they're barely above .500 against the Big 10+.

Look at their record against various conferences from the unbiasedly-titled Why the SEC Isn't as Great in Football as You Think.
Put in the stats for the BCS National Championship Game.
SEC: 6-1 with the only loss coming against another SEC team. That's why the SEC gets the rep it does.
    2012: Alabama 21-LSU 0
    2011: Auburn 21-Oregon 19
    2010: Alabama 37-Texas 21
    2009: Florida 24- Oklahoma 14
    2008: LSU 38- OSU 24
    2007: LSU 21- Oklahoma 14

Also LSU won it in 2004 so in the game that really matters, the conference has won more BCS championships than any other conference over the last 10 years. Like 'em or no,t they deliver when it counts.

Well, damn. Murray should have spiked the ball. That would have given him two plays. Great game otherwise. Just came up a little short.

Yes he should have. Or the receiver should have batted the ball down instead of catching it, which meant one extra play. That pass had no business being thrown or caught.

I'm not terribly happy about playing Washington in the Las Vegas Bowl. 10-2 isn't too shabby for a rebuilding year. And having one of the best passing defenses in the nation while bringing back one starter is a good thing. I actually wouldn't be that upset except we get to turn around and play Washington in the opening game next year.

    I really wanted USC.

I'm giving Murray a pass now. Apparently the call came from the bench. They wanted to keep the pressure on UAT. The call was a fade pass.

Still, a spike would have been better. Two plays with some thought rather than hurrying to beat the clock.

Oh, I don't blame Murray at all. Obviously, he wasn't prepared to win, and that's not his fault.

What a terrible bowl season. Other than the national championship I could careless about any of these games. I usually end up being really excited about 10 of them.

Pretty much. Kansas State and Oregon is the other must see game.
    The rest?
    Northern Illinois vs FSU?
    Louisville vs Fla?

    Not good matchups at all.

I think that the Cotton Bowl (Texas A&M and Oklahoma) and Chick-fil-A Bowl (LSU vs. Clemson) could also be good ones. They're both capturing existing rivalries. Maybe the Holiday Bowl (Baylor vs. UCLA) as well. And I'm interested in Northern Illinois vs. Florida State, but solely as a Noles fan. But that's just six bowls.

I agree that should be a good one with a combined score of well over 100.

I'll watch LSU-Clemson but I think LSU will be too much for them. Baylor-UCLA is another good one I really like what Mora did this year and the Baylor coach (sorry but his name escapes me) has done an amazing job.
