I think the teasers are being taken too seriously. Based on interviews Rucka does not like to write out of his comfort zone. No way this is actually going to turn into a "war" between Avengers and Punisher. That's just not his style, unless you consider the fact that Punisher already see everything as a war. I'm guessing that at the end of the current arc/run, Punisher is going to do something that will draw the heroes attention to him, but I doubt it will be anything like Civil War or even Shadowland. Less in line with Iron Man firing blasts at Punisher and more in line with Punisher having to extract and item or information from the Avengers Mansion or come up with crazy badass strategies for avoiding the avengers.

Where is this page from? I was never really into the punisher but this image truly is badass! I tried to get into the current series but it was too focused on everyone but the Punisher, much like they tried with Silver Surfer in his last ongoing. Making the main character silent and mysterious doesn't really work in my opinion. I'll take inner monolgue anyday.

That's why I think the Punisher works so much better as a max book where the rules are lifted for him to do what he does best. Put him around a bunch of tights and he looks silly as he did in Civil War.

But he was a bad ass in civil war. Fraction screwed him up after.

I think they use the Avengers in the teaser just to get people hyped and sale more books i doubt we will see a war with the Avengers.

Rucka already talked about it. He knows that Punisher can't take on the Avengers directly, so he has to use strategy. Similar to how he took on The Sentry.
