Punisher is going to have two titles, that has to be a first time in a while.

Somebody did call it based on the font style used.

My thing is, I get that Frank's popular, but enough to sustain two books? I mean there are tons of characters that could use that slot in Marvel's line-up.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Actually, I think this is a relaunch of his current book. Hell, they pratically gave this away in the solicitations!

    THE PUNISHER #15 & 16
    GREG RUCKA (w) • Marco Checchetto (a)
    Cover by Kalman Andrasofszky (#15)
    Cover by Marco Checchetto (#16)
    • ISSUE #15 – The Punisher vs. the NYPD. Nobody wins.
    • ISSUE #16 – The Punisher and Cole reach a shared conclusion. Prepare for the War Zone.

He did have Punisher and Punisher MAX most recently, so it's not that unrealistic. Then again given the Chechetto teaser, I'm feeling that after this first arc mega arc of Punisher is over, the book will change to War Zone kind of like Thunderbolts became Dark Avengers and how Hulk is rumored to become Agents of SMASH.

Yup. I jumped the gun a little bit but realized that Marvel's been doing a lot of rebranding as of late.

Makes sense, since this big Frank Castle/Cole team-up thing seems to be coming to an end, you can relaunch for a quick sales boost, put in other Marvel heroes to attract new readers, etc.

I'm just glad it isn't an another damn event. You gotta let it lie for a little bit before you hit them with the next big earth-shattering thing.

Makes sense after the Spider-Man teaser.

Looks like the shared conclusion Frank and Cole come to is that superhumans are a threat to humanity.

Yeah, CBR seems to be jumping to a lot of conclusions in their reporting of sparse facts lately. No way Punisher can float two separate ongoings right now.

Maybe everything really WILL relaunch in October, and this is the first one we're hearing about...

I hope the creative team stays on. This was surely one of the best non-MAX Punisher runs ever!

It seems that as a title drops near the 20k sales mark it's either involved in a big event (Avengers Academy) or rebranded (Thunderbolts and soon Hulk). Other books are just cancelled (Moon Knight). X-Factor is forever steady. What fates await Journey into Mystery and New Mutants?

I can't imagine anything will change. Sounds like just an excuse for a sales bump.
